Trouble combining books

Hi. I'm a new librarian and am trying to combine two separate entries for my book Family Bible (Sightline Books). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can one of you help me with this?

Melissa. Go to the book page of either one of them. As long as they have the exact same author name (which it looks as though they do) go to combine editions and then mark the check boxes of ezch of them and click combine editions. Is that not working for you?

Ah. The authors are a little different. I can combine them...

Ok, they're combined. I copied & pasted the author's name to the other author to make them identical. Then, the 2 bibles showed up on one author's page instead of 2 "separate" authors, and they could then be combined.

For future reference. But these particular books are now combined.

Melissa, Now, if you want, do you want to delete the one without the ISBN? I'm leaving both editions alone.

P.S. If you delete the one without the ISBN, the ratings will get added to the other editions.
