Demon from the Dark (Book #10)

I'm looking forward to Intense Malkom.

I'll think you'll very much enjoy Malkom. Although he is a little rough around the edges. Like I wrote in my review: he makes Lachlain seem like a pussy cat.

Clearly we British just can't take the heat!

Poor you, Suzanne! That cover of LM is pretty lame.

You know what would be REALLY showing off? If I told you I got Lover Mine three weeks before release date. Muahahahahahaaaaaa...

I'm trying to watch it now but the sound is not in sync with the video and it is driving me nucking futs.

She just needs a splash of pineapple and she'll have my favorite drink.

If I pause it and play again it syncs for a bit before geting out of whack. I am just going with the flow.

And now she says that she's not 100% sure that Furie's book will be last and that Nix's will probably be toward the end, too. Does that mean I have to give up on my dreams of Nix and Lothaire? T_T

She said on her message board a while back that she definitely was almost positive Lothaire's book would be released in 2011. Maybe she is trying to mislead people so they'll be surprised or maybe she'll have 2 books out next year. Doubtful.
Is there a chance she changed her mind about making Lanthe and Thronos a novella and they could have the 3rd spot? I know they are in this book.

Ah, speculation is fun! LOL.

Who started the Nix/Lothaire pairing rumors? Based on clues she's given about Nix's man, I found it easy to associate Lothaire with her.
***spoiler for Regin's man*** We know how those rumors about a certain druglord came and went.

Oh no! Nix has to be with Lothaire! I can't and won't except any guy from the street! We need someone who we've known from the very beginning!
From what little you saw in DftD I wouldn't be surprised if the last book of the trilogy turned out to be about Uilleam.
I don't mind waiting longer for Lothaire's books if that implies that Nix's HEA will be towards the ending. I'd like her book to be second to last. And it would be so cool if we could get treated to itty bitty Nix/Lothaire tension in prior books.
What are the clues about Nix's HEA? And who the hell is Hild?

Well, Anja just answered about Hild. LOL.
The only clues about Nix's HEA is this, something KC posted in her forums:
"Nix's hero is everything she isn't: logical, focused, lucid. He works in a highly dangerous job, and RaquelTheBell, the guy isn't really understanding. He gets very impatient with her."
I think I'd be upset if her hero was a completely new character because she's been such a prominent part of the series. :/

If we can't have Lothaire's book, I am hoping for Uilleam, you never have enough Lykae!

Will review though on my blog when I am done

I must be the only one that doesn't want Lothaire with Nixie...I wanted him to be with maybe someone/something he doesn't understand or perhaps Sabines' child...something more, mystical and beyond him...someone to make him be better. Nix, she needs a a real man's man. A guy that won't tolerate her craziness...Lothaire reminds me in a lot of ways to Ash. He is misunderstood and can't wait to learn his past.

Did anyone else watch the KC video? Lol i loved that she turned it into a drinking game! And also after her reading an extract from it I really want to read the bath scene!

I agree with you, Wminbc, that Nix needs a strong man. I think Nix's man will be someone new to us. Maybe the CIA guy. Or Gamboa. Or Gamboa is the CIA guy.
I thought KC's video chat was great. She certainly kept herself entertained.

Anyway, I just finished DftD. Here is a link to my review. There aren't any spoilers, but I did do a brief summary of the plot that gives you a better idea what the book is about than the blurb on the back.

I was fortunate to get an early copy of DftD. I'm curious how everyone likes it. I'm on the fence about it. It was generally very entertaining (as Cole's books always are) and I loved Malkom (intense!). But the story started to drag on towards the end and I couldn't quite connect with Carrow. I liked her when she was sarcastic, but she could also be a bit melodramatic.
I gave it three stars -3,5 really- which is (too) low but I couldn't bring myself to give the book the same rating as the Wroth's or Woede books, which I gave 4 stars. But I kinda feel a bit guilty...
