Alex looked at her hand uncertainly. "I don't think your sister likes me very much. My coming might just make it worse." he said.

Eli got to her sisters room and knocked gently at the door."What!" she screamed through tears.
"Can I come in?" Eli asked coming in anyway.
Amanda was lying on the bed, with a pillow over her head.
Eli sat at the edge of her sisters bed and gently tapped her sister, "Can we talk?""No!" Amanda responded.
"I'm sorry okay..." Eli choked out, "I was being a jerk. Please, forgive me."
"Promise you won't scream at me again?" Amanda said looking Eli in the face.
"I can't promis that...but I sure won't put a boy between our relationship." Eli promised.
She took out her hand and Amanda took it and they headed out the ropm and downstairs.
Alex was walking down the street, hands in his pockets, and thinking about...well, everything.
When Eli noticed Alex wasn't there she told Amanda to go watch some television.Amanda did as she was told and Eli went to call Alex. Ring Ring.
"Hello?" Alex said, answering his phone as he rounded a corner.
"Where are you? You just left..." Eli stated.
"Sorry. I didn't want to risk disturbing you and Amanda, so I headed home." Alex said.
"Oh...that's very considerate of you...but we worked it all out. Guess I won't be seeing you for a while after this little incident?" Eli said expecting the worst.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked, also expecting the worst. Although he figured it was obvious that she wouldn't want him around Amanda for a while in case he managed to upset her by breathing again.
"I mean...you obviously couldn't take the pressure and you probably don't want to see Amanda again..." she explained.
"What pressure?" Alex asked, completely confused now.
"The pressure of coming between me and my sister, of course. But don't worry about it, it's all good now!" she assured him.
"So...can i come around or not?" Alex asked.
"Of course you can!" Eli said, surprised he thought otherwise.
Alex smiled. "Then I'll see you later."
Eli smiled too, "Great!" she said.
Alex hung up and continued his walk home, just trying to make it there without something jumping out at him.
Eli went to rejoin her sister in the living room.
Alex managed to make it to his house without further incident.
Alex was visited by Ally, who just wanted to hang out for once, instead of telling him some horrible news.
Eli got bored and went to her room to read.
When they had played enough for them to be tied, each of them having won 3 games, Ally went home and Alex went to sleep.
Eli fell asleep shortly after.Amanda went up to her room.
~next day~Eli woke up and made breakfast for her and Amanda.
Alex left his house and walked to the park.
Eli ate her breakfast then went to the park.
Alex climbed into a tree and watched passing bystanders walk by.
Eli passed the tree Alex was in, without seeing him, and sat at a bench.
Alex watched her, not bothering to say hello simply because he liked the silence. It was still too early for too many people to be at the park, so it was pretty quiet.
Eli had her a book in her hand, which she started reading.
Alex turned to hang upside down in the tree and ended up just above her head. "Hey." he said.
Eli screamed, because she wasn't expecting that, than when she realized it was just Alex she said "Hey" back.
Alex smiled sheepishly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." he said.
"It's okay. So, what brings you to that tree this morning?" Eli asked.
Alex shrugged. "No certain reason. Just...because."
"Okay..." Eli started, "About yesterday...I'm sorry. Amanda won't behave like that again."
