"Why? What happened?" Alex asked.

"Well, Ally came over and told me some...stuff." she explained.
Alex groaned. "Dang it, was she mean to you again? I'm sorry Eli, I asked her to be nicer, but, well, Ally doesn't really listen to anyone."
"Yeah, she was kind of mean... but that's not it. She told me somethings that are much worse. I would tell you, but I promised to keep it secret." she turned away from Alex, so she wouldn't have to face him.
"Ally asked you to keep something a secret from me?" Alex asked in disbelief. They always told each other everything, and he couldn't imagine what Ally would want to keep from him.
"Yeah...and don't ask me what, cause I'm not telling."
"Yeah..." Eli said, "So...what's new?"
"I had come to tell you something Anderin had told me." Alex said, "But now I forget what it was."
"Oh..." Eli said. "Well just come on in then."
Alex stepped in. "So how are you doing?" he asked.
"Good..." Alex said, trailing off as his mind picked up on something else.
"I'm sorry." Alex said as he tried to keep from laughing. "It's just - this - us, it's so hilarious! I mean, first it was just me and Ally. Then we met you. And Ally hates you, but is my friend and so doesn't openly hate you...too often. Then there's your sister Amanda who's been going back and forth on what she thinks of me. Then there's Anderin, who came to kill me, but then liked Ally, and therefore stops trying to kill me. It's all so twisted and down right, funny." Alex wasn't sure how much sense he made, though he knew it wasn't much. He normally wouldn't have found that that funny, but his laugh wasn't one of pure laughter anyway. There was an edge of hysteria in it.
Eli chuckled nervously, "That is kind of funny. Alex, can I speak to you privately." she said, aware that Amanda could here them from the living room.
Alex closed his nose and mouth, stopping him from being able to breathe in order to calm himself. Once his laughter had slowed he said, "Sure."
She took him to the back and then leaned in and kissed him.
Alex, pleasantly surprised, kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her waist.
She moved away from him and pouted, "Sorry...This is serious business, don't mind my behavior."
Alex kissed her forehead. "This is serious business too." he said. At least, it is to me. he added silently.
"I agree..." she said hugging him.
Alex held her, resting his head on hers. "This is bad." he said.
She pulled away yet agian, "What is bad?" she asked, with a worried look.
"Everything. The thing with the demons. Anderin's curse. Everything." Alex said.
"Yeah." Eli said sighing and holding unto Alex tighter, "I'm scared..."
"You'll be ok." Alex said, half to her, half to himself.
"Let's talk about something else." Alex suggested.
"The date I'm taking you on tomorrow." Alex said.
Eli smiled super big, "A date? When was this agreed on? Oh I just love the idea!" she gave him a big kiss on the cheek.
Alex smiled. "I thought you might." he said.
Eli loved how smooth Alex was with his talking, "You know me so well." she winked.
Alex smiled, and shrugged. "I try." he said.
Alex smiled at her. "So, about this date...tomorrw at 7 good?"
"Perfect." she said giving him a kiss on the mouth.
Eli put her arms around Alex's shirt, attempting to take it off when Amanda walked in. "Woah there!" she said.
Eli pulled his shirt down and stared at Amanda.
Alex hastily stepped back a couple of steps, blushing.
Eli looked towards Alex, then back at Amanda. She pushed her sister aside and started lecturing her."Amanda, couldn't you tell me and Alex were having a moment? I know you're too young and need a lot of guidance, but really I need some space too."
With that, Amanda ran up to her room, upset.
Eli turned back to Alex and immediately resumed where she was. She'd deal with Amanda later.
Alex gently pulled back. "You should go make sure she's ok." he said.
((How did I know that would happen? lol))She pouted for a long time then said, "Okay fiiiine...but don't miss me too much. Or rather, you can come with me?" She took out her hand for him to take, if he wanted to.
