"Because, you like Ally. And she likes you back. Don't try to hide it!" Eli folded her arms.

Ally stood up, brushing herself off. "We can and will deny it. In case you've forgotten, he's tried to kill me two or three times. But, we both don't want Alex to get killed - for reasons of our own - and so we have to cooperate.""What she said." Anderin agreed.
"So," Ally said, changing the subject, "what are you guys doing here?"
"Me and Alex were just hanging out with my sis Amanda and his pet squirrel, Vlad."
I am not his PET.
Vlad said."I have to agree with him." Alex said. "He's not my pet. We're friends. Equals."
Eli laughed. She loved how Vlad got so defensive. "Okay, Vlad. Whatever you say." she smiled.
"So, how'd you fall, Al? I mean, Alison?" Anderin asked."I-" Ally started.
"She's never had the best balance." Alex cut in.
"You could have let me finish." Ally said.Alex shrugged. "Why? I knew the answer, and you're a slow talker."
Eli looked at the birds in the sky.
Ally stuck her tongue out at him. "Whatever, Loser." she said."Get over it, Pixie." Alex said back.
Eli got tired of their rambling, "Is this going somewhere?" she butted in.
"Not really." Ally said."Yeah," Alex agreed. "It's going nowhere. Why? Did you want to add something?"
"No." Eli said, "Just thought we were supposed to be looking for demons."
"You don't go looking for trouble." Alex said. Then he thought about it and decided to rephrase. "At least not unprepared, or without a plan anyway."
Eli thought about that, "Okay then. So what now?"
"Well, if you are looking for demons, I'd reccomend the shanu blade." Anderin said."Yes! Best demon fighting weapon ever." Ally agreed.
"Want to track some demons with it?" Anderin asked.
"Alright." Ally said, and without waiting for any kind of reaction, they left, shanu blades in hand.
Eli followed, not knowing what to expect. Amanda also followed.
"You might need this." Alex said, handing each of them a shanu blade, as he also followed.
Eli took it. Amanda took it hesitantly and continues following.
"Good, you gave them one." Ally said."Now we can show them how to use it." Anderin said, and both of them started to show Eli and Amanda how to use it, a bit enthusiastic.
Eli smiled, "This should be fun." she stated. "Touche!" Amanda retorted,
"What does 'touche' mean anyway?" Ally asked as she cleaned her shanu blade.
"It's a way of saying, 'I agree.' or 'Good one!' Understand?" Amanda explained.
"Yeah, see I always thought it meant something else. I guess I'll have to consult the dictionary. But anyway, you don't touch the sharp part of the shanu blade, understand?" Ally said.
"What you thought it meant?" Amanda curiously asked.
"I've always seen it as a comeback when an opposing, opposite point has been said that challenges the meaning and truth of the original." Ally said.
"I guess it could be used in that defense. It's pretty logical." Amanda agreed. She was starting to like Ally a bit more.
Ally nodded, then turned her attention back to her shanu blade. "These things are really cool." she said."Yeah." Anderin agreed. "They make demon fighting a lot easier."
"But they don't find the demons, so if we're going demon hunting, we should start." Alex pointed out.
Eli agreed, "Yeah. The earlier the better."
"Alright. Let's go." Ally said, and she walked away, followed by Alex and Anderin.
Eli and Amanda followed, determined to kick some demon butt!
It wasn't long before a demon covered in scales, and a demon covered in spikes, found them.
Eli prepared her weaopn to use it when tempted. Amanda did the same.
The demons attacked and Ally and Anderin took the one with spikes, while Alex started attacking the one with scales.
Eli backed him up charging for the demons heart with her blade. Amanda went for his back.
Soon, both demons had turned to dust.
"That was too easy!" Eli said, suspicious.
"No, it was just about easy enough for two lesser demons. They don't have hardly any power at all. They're mostly an eyesore." Ally said.
"So, where should we look next?" Alex asked.
"I don't know. But I'm getting tired of looking for demons, this isn't a game you know."
"Nope. It's not." Alex agreed. "And you can go home if you want, but I'm going to keep going.""Us too." Ally and Anderin said. "And I do think of it as a game." Anderin added.
Eli shrugged, "I might as well stay. I have nothing better to do."
"Then why do you keep complaining?" Ally snapped.
Ally sighed. "Alex, your girlfriend's impossible." she said.
Eli glanced at Alex, then back at Ally, "I can speak for myself." she said.
"Yes, I'm very well aware of that." Ally said. "But I wasn't talking to you."
