"I'm no wolf! I'm *she lowered her voice for emphasis* a werewolf!" Eli laughed maniacally.

Vlad said.Alex translated that and added, "His words, not mine."
Eli laughed, "I know, Vlad. So Vlad, have you met my sis Amanda?" Eli pushed Amanda forward to see Vlad.Amanda waved, "That's a talking squirrel?!" she asked excited.
"Yeah!" Eli responded.
No, I am a thinking squirrel.
Vlad corrected, and Alex passed the message on.
You are excused.
Vlad said.When Alex relayed the message he added, "Sorry. Sometimes he gets full of himself."
Eli rolled her eyes, "I see." Amanda looked at the squirrel and said, "Hello there."
Vlad tilted his head to the side curiously.
Hello.
he said.((I'm getting tired of saying that Alex relays the message, but just know that he does.))
((lol ok gotcha))Amanda beamed, "You're a cute squirrel!" she bent down then handed him an acorn she found on the grass.
Eli smiled.
Vlad took the acorn.
Thanks. I like acorns.
"I know." Amanda smiled. "So, what should we do?" Eli asked Alex.
Alex shrugged. "I haven't the slightest idea...want to climb a tree?" he said as Vlad continued to talk with Amanda.
"Sure." she said, "Bet I can beat you to the top."
"You're on. On three. Three..." Alex said.
Eli climbed the tree so fast she was nearly at the top. She was using her werewolf speed.
Alex was head to head with her, not holding back on the vampire speed.
She was almost at the top when she heard something snap. The branch she was on was unsteady.
Alex had heard the snap, but paid no attention to it. At the rate they were going, there were a lot of twigs snapping here and there as they quickly climbed, so he noticed nothing unusual.
Eli prepared to make her next move but then the branch gave way and she went tumbling down to the floor. She turned to her werewolf form so she didn't land too roughly.
Alex, after seeing her fall, quickly hopped down in one, smooth, jump, and asked, "Eli, are you alright?"
"Yeah, fine." she said turning back into her normal form.
"Ok. Good." Alex said, turning to look at the branch through narrowed eyes.
Eli wiped her forehead with the back of her hand.
"Do you happen to have any ideas as to why the branch fell?" Alex asked, walking up to inspect the branch more closely.
"Not really. One minute I heard a snapping noise, then I was on the ground."By this time Amanda had come to see what happened. "Are you alright Eli?"
"I'm fine."
Alex was still eying the branch suspiciously.
"What you doing?" Eli asked, noticing him eyeing the branch. "You don't think this was planned do you?"
"I think there's always the possibility." Alex answered.
Eli nodded, "But who would have done it?" she asked, "So many possibilities. A lot of people hate me you know. The vampire hunter, the demons, Ally, maybe Anderin..."
"What makes you think Ally or Anderin would do it?" Alex asked.
"Maybe not...but I like you, and Ally is my friend. She wouldn't do something like that. And, Anderin likes Ally, so he wouldn't do this either." Alex said.
"Then that leaves the vampire hunter or a random demon."
Eli gasped, "He has a master? great!" she said sarcastically.
"Not all demons. Just the lesser ones." Alex said.
"Oh, okay." she said, getting off the ground. "So what do we do now?"
"I'm not sure, actually." Alex said, thinking.
"Hmmmm." she said, thinking. Amanda resumed talking to Vlad.
"Actually, I don't think there's anything we can do but be very careful at this point." Alex said.
"Agreed. So, what now? We just wait to see if something happens?"
"No. We wait and hope nothing happens." Alex said.
Eli nodded, "Agreed!" she looked around watching for anything suspicious.
Out of no where, Anderin dropped down from the tree. He had been at the very top. Where they hadn't reached, which is why he wasn't seen. "Hey, people." he said casually, leaning against the tree.
Eli frowned, "Hey Anderin." she managed.
"What are you doing here?" Alex asked."Nothing in particular. My question is, what are you doing here? Because if you and your girlfriend are going to make-out in the tree, all I have to say is: I was there first, so find another tree." Anderin said.
Eli laughed, "We weren't going to make out. And why were you in the tree?"
Anderin shrugged. "Just chillin'. Do I have to have a reason?"
"Well, I guess not. Is Ally with you?"
"How is that any of your business?" Anderin asked just as Ally, cursing under her breath, fell out of the tree.
