Anderin decided his part of the job was over, so he was asleep too.

Alex was awoken by a loud pounding on his door. When he answered it, he found Ally. "What are you doing up at this ungodly hour?" he asked. It was about 5:00 in the morning.
Eli was still asleep.Amanda was wide awake making breakfast.
"I think I might have found some information on why the masters of the demons want them here." Ally said.
Eli woke up and went to eat some breakfast with Amanda.
"I think they're here becuase of Eli." Ally siad."What makes you think that?" Alex asked.
"Because she's a werewolf. And I researched the masters of the demons, and what do you think they hunt?" Ally asked."Werewolves." Alex said, his eyes widening with understanding.
Eli got up to watch the dishes. Amanda helped her.
Ally nodded. "Why is someone I know always being hunted? Are there Sprite hunters?" Alex asked Ally.
"Actually...there are. But the odds of one coming after me are one to a million." Ally said.
"Ok, good. Then we only have this problem. How are we going to get the demons and their masters to leave without killing Eli?" Alex asked.
"And that's the question of the day." Ally said.
Eli finished the dishes and went to read a book. Amanda watched tv.
"How did you find this out?" Alex asked."Well...Anderin and I tracked down a few of the masters." Ally said.
"Wait - you and Anderin?" Alex asked.
"Yeah." Ally said.
Eli was getting drawn into the story.
"I'm not even going to ask." Alex sighed. Then he said. "It's a little early to be waking anyone up, though, isn't it?" he said."Alex, we've been talking for hours. If anyone's still asleep - scratch that. No one but the dead can still be asleep." Ally said.
"Then I guess it's back to Eli's." Alex sighed. He wished, as they walked, that one day he'd be able to visit Eli without there being life or death news.
Eli was getting to the end of her story.
Eli finished the book just as the door rang. She answered it and saw Alex and Ally. She said hello to both of them and let them in.
"So...well you can probably guess by now, but we have some bad news." Alex said.
Eli let out a sigh, "Big shocker! What's the news this time?" she said, waiting for the worst.
"You're going to die." Ally said bluntly.
Eli stared blankly at her, "No seriously..." she said, hoping she was joking.
"No. You're not going to die." Alex said, throwing a sharp glance at Ally. "At least, we're going to prevent that.""The demons and their masters are after werewolves." Ally said. "Which is exactly what you happen to be."
"Oh no! Who will protect Amanda? I can't die, I just can't! Alex, you have to do something." she pleaded.
"Ally stop scaring her!" Alex snapped at Ally.Ally shrugged. "I'm just saying it like it is, Alex."
Alex turned back to Eli. "Nothing's going to happen to you." Not while I'm breathing. he added silently.
"Good!" she said, "So is that all you wanted to tell me?"
She laughed, "Well okay then. Just be safe, and keep me safe too!" she winked at him as she said goodbye.
Ally sighed. "Ok. Listen. Alex might not say this, but I will. It's not his job to keep you safe. He's done enough by telling you to watch out. But, because he loves you, he will help you. He's not superman, and he can get hurt too. You need to take this seriously because he can't be everywhere at once. Even immortals can succumb to stress." she said.
She stopped laughing, "Well yes, ma'am!" she said, saluting Ally. Then she got serious, "Of course I know Aex is human. That's why I love him. I care about his safety just as much as my own. Remember that."
"Yeah, well it's hard to tell." Ally said."Ally, stop it." Alex said.
"Oh, like you weren't thinking it." Ally said.
Eli looked at Alex, almost at tears, "Were you?" she asked.
Alex didn't answer."He was. He's just too nice to tell you." Ally said.
"If that's how you feel, than let me die. I don't need your help. Ally seems to hate me anyway, and what use will I be to you anymore." she said stiffly at Alex.
"It's not that, Eli! I'm not going to let you die! It's just...it seemed like you didn't appreciate what I was doing for you." Alex admitted.
"Of course I appreciate what you're doing! Is it that wrong for a girlfriend to expect her boyfriend to protect her?" she asked matter-of-factly.
"Yes." Ally said. "It's so sexist and cliche. She can need help, want help, and ask for help. But expect help? No. It's just not right."
"I wasn't asking you!" Eli snapped at Ally, waiting for Alex's response.
Ally smirked."My answer's close to the same. I mean, it just seems...I don't know like there's a lot of unnecessary pressure on the boyfriend. Especially if he knew that his girlfriend could take care of herself, and yet still expected him to do it." Alex said.
"Well yeah I can take care of myself, but with Amanda and all...I have a lot on my plate. If you wish to not keep me safe, well go ahead. Do what your precious Ally wants, I'll understand."
"Of course I'll keep you safe." Alex said. "I...I just tend no to meet up to expectations well and...it would be a lot easier to keep you safe, without being expected to. When someone expects something of me, it just feels like I should have already done it, and am behind, which only leads to me messing up, and I can't mess up with your safety, Eli" Alex said.
Eli nodded, "Okay, I get it! I won't stress you anymore." she turned to Ally, "Happy?"
Ally shrugged. "I'm happy if he's happy. I've been watching his back for two years, and I'll continue to." she said. She turned to Alex. "Happy?" she asked him. "...I guess?" Alex said, not wanting to say anything that Ally could twist around - and she could twist anything - or make Eli upset with him.
"Whatever." Eli said too upset, "Is this visit over? I'm getting sick!"
"Yes it is." Ally said before pushing Alex outof the house. Once outside, Alex said, "Why did you do that!?" to Ally.
Eli sighed hard and closed the door. Amanda came out and saw Eli looking depressed, "What's wrong sis?" she asked.
((Omg, sorry!))"Because I don't like her." Ally said.
"But I do! Ally, could you at least try to be nice?" Alex asked.
"I could think about it." Ally replied.
((it's ok))"I think Ally likes Alex. It's so obvious, she's always making him see less and less of me."
Amanda scratched her head. She couldn't understand the concept.
"Ally, please." Alex asked."Fine. But I don't trust her. And what's with her sister? She likes you, she hates you, she likes you. I don't like her much either." Ally said.
"You don't have to. You just have to be nice." Alex said.
"Easier said than done, Alex."
