But when I tried to follow the link, the conversation had vanished, and looking up references to my own name (oh the vanity!) did not locate the thread.

Did Twitter remove the Pirates? Kudos!!!!

I received a statement saying those tweets were removed for questionable activity.
So GREAT JOB Twitter!!!
And good job to the authors who tweeted against them and reported them.
