Sarah I like Lily, Lila, Sarah (lol), Kat (short for Katherine), Charlie (short for Charlotte) (yes, I use a lot of nicknames ;-D) Skye, and I use a lot of flower names, such as Orchid, Lily, again, Rose, and stuff like that. Also, I use gem names, like Opal, Topaz, and things of that nature. :-)

Help! I need a out of the ordinary but not extremely bizarre name for a quiet 16 year old girl who can see the dead. She's a sorta minor character so it can't be too flashy

I need a guys name for my story. He's nice, caring, pretty perfect. Reddish brown hair, green eyes, and freckles.

I kind of like Nolan. I'm having such a hard time deciding. I was between Tristan and Declan, but neither of them fully fit. I hate naming people...

message 259: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments I love Declan. (one of my charries is Decklan)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I like it a lot too... I just can't decide. My names have to be just right or it bothers me. It takes me forever to find the perfect name.

message 261: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Harmon (mandyharmon) | 10724 comments Tristan? Haha

Maria [the clockwork creeps on useless lives] (mariachhile) | 8772 comments Mod
Ian?

Roland (haha I know that's ancient)

Jordan, The Picture Magician (aka Probie) (thepicturemagicianakaprobie) | 2218 comments naming is like the hardest part of writing a story. If the name doesnt fit the character isnt realistic...just like the problem im having now *headkeyboard*

Maria [the clockwork creeps on useless lives] (mariachhile) | 8772 comments Mod
I know! mine have to be absolutely perfect or else it just doesn't feel right. I finally found a name for my secondary character: Kori. But it took FOREVER

message 265: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments I love names. *wistful* It's my favourite part.

Maria [the clockwork creeps on useless lives] (mariachhile) | 8772 comments Mod
I love names but that doesnt stop them from being hard. *sighs*

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I'm probably going to finish my story and still be without a name. :p

Maria [the clockwork creeps on useless lives] (mariachhile) | 8772 comments Mod
That would be depressing lol

message 269: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
yeah... it would. But the good thing is, the part I'm at so far we don't need a name cuz he's like this mysterious figure.

message 270: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I used all biblical names when I wrote The Cloud People. Which is about angels coming down to earth... Is that corny? The names, I mean :D

message 271: by [deleted user] (new)

Omg I know naming is so hard! It has to be 100% perfect! I love looking for the names though.

message 272: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I don't think it's corny. Kinda cool actually.

Here's my number one favorite website for names: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/
You can get up to 1,000 of the most popular baby names for every year starting at 1880. It's really amazing.

Maria [the clockwork creeps on useless lives] (mariachhile) | 8772 comments Mod
cool my name was at it's height in 1973
