Character Description: Tall and muscular, with black hair and gold eyes. A scar crosses his right eye, but doesn't blind him (Squall style). When traveling he wears a black cloak, plate armor on his torso (black), a dark red long sleeved undershirt, forearm greaves that end in a spike above his elbow, gauntlets, pants of the same color as the shirt, and calf greaves designed like the forearm greaves over boots.
Brief History: Born of a demon woman who was raped and kidnapped by a Dark Angel during the early parts of the war. In the ninth month of pregnancy the band of Dark Angels that had kidnapped his mother was ambushed by some Arcanian soldiers, who drove the Dark Angels away. However, Lanâs mother was secretly poisoned by her childâ father and died giving childbirth the next day. The boy was raised by the Arcanians, and he became their leader at 14. He had been granted improved physical traits (50% greater strength and speed than the average man, like all Dark Angels) and great magical abilities. However, they came at a price. The mix of his Dark Angel and Demon blood caused him to go into a rage whenever he was feeling a strong dark emotion, like hate, fear, or passion. He would have even greater strength and speed, and his innate magical abilities would be accessable to him, but he would lose all control and would consider anyone around him an enemy and destroy them until he collapsed from exhaustion. After accidentally destroying his comrades this way, he avoided humanity totally until he encountered a monk, who trained him to meditate and control his feelings. He also received a cirice belt, or a barbed belt worn around the leg to incapacitate a person from arousal. Bearing these gifts, Lan dedicated the rest of his life to protecting the common people who had sheltered him after his mothers death and to destroy the Dark Angels, especially his father. After the Dark Angels were defeated, he spent his time and efforts battling the corruption in the Arcadian government and protecting the people from various Dark Demon threats. He still fears his beserker state and thinks of himself as a monster, making him very shy around women and quiet and reserved from everyone else. When he had heard that the Dark Angels were back and a new group was rising to fight them, he promptly journeyed there to join them.
