Brenda | 163 comments I found myself doing something I almost never do. I re-read a book. Not one I read years ago and for which I was feeling nostalgic. Nope, it was a tiny bit of steampunk fluff I read in the fall. I have shelves and shelves and boxes and boxes of books I refuse to get rid of because "I might read them again" and never do.

Do you re-read?

Mocha Drop (mochadrop) | 6 comments I don't care to re-read books, but I do it reluctantly (and occasionally) to re-familiarize myself for a (local) book club discussion. I have too many others that I want to read and rather devote my time to those rather than revisit past reads.

Suzanne (bellamy22) | 610 comments I did, as a child, when the book was a FAVORITE.
But, the past couple of years, I have re-read one or two. I find that I forget alot of details when the stress level is so high, and it is a good refresher. I am definitely going to re-read 'Shutter Island' before I see the film. I have loved Dennis LeHane from day one of his career, and bought this the first day it was out.
Can't wait to see the film!!!

Lianne (eclecticreading) I used to re-read a lot when I was younger but these days I only read certain books, particularly favourites (for sure I re-read LOTR and Persuasion every year). There's just so many books I want to read and I have easier access to the bookstore and stuff than when I was younger.

Eekkk! Moderator OCD alarm is going off.

Before we create a new thread, please please please check the threads and revive an older one that already discusses your topic.

Being 6000+ members large, and many many many many threads big, it gets congested in here really quickly.
