There's a YA book from the '70s called Growing Up in a Hurry, about a girl who's a dedicated concert flutist and gets pregnant. Could that possibly be your second book?

I added Body and Soul to the group's bookshelf.

Book # 1: SOLVED!
A young boy living in an urban setting was walking down the sidewalk and heard piano music coming from a basement. I believe he sort of became a prodigy, mainly playing jazz. The book skips to age 15 (?) and he goes to a music camp, loses his virginity, etc. That's all I can remember.
Book #2: Unsolved
A college-aged girl is a professional pianist. She has to go to a practice room every day to practice for a performance. She somehow becomes pregnant I think. Sorry I can't remember more.
I thought that one of these books was titled "Heart and Soul," and I tried sifting through search results with no success. If anyone has some ideas on what these two books could be, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
