AM (AMCat) | 37 comments I believe this was touched on in one of the episode. I'm hosting a book salon, where everyone picks a biography to read about a Louisiana woman and we get together and discuss it in March for Women's History Month.

Does anyone have any practical ideas about get things going once people show up? They're adults do we need name tags? Should we go around and introduce ourselves and the say the name of the person we read? If people read the same person should they sit together?

I'm probably over thinking this whole thing and it will evolve organically. But, I would still appreciate advice from anyone who's done this.

Thanks,
Anna Marie

Bumping this back up ... I'm still thinking about it. I'd like to do a future podcast episode about literary salons. Anyone have suggestions for AM, that we can also include in the podcast?
