Of all the books I've ever written, I've gotten more mail about THE LAST TIME THEY MET. One woman wrote, "When I got to the end, I screamed and fell off the couch."

I know how that woman feels. When I got to the end, I was so stunned, I sat on my couch paralyzed until I decided I had made a mistake. So I read the last page again and then again. Then started the book all over again.

Don't you just love it when that happens? :)

I'm so glad to hear that, I was mortified tossed the book onto the floor and tried to go to sleep. Then picked it up again and read the last few pages to make sure what I was thinking was correct. Irritating, yes. Brilliant, definately.

I just decided not to believe it. I did not let the last page negate all that I had happened. But I still loved it.
