I said that before and nobody listened! Perhaps now they will.

Then here isn't really here, is it?

Chris (bibliophile85) This is an interesting question.

Personally, my main bookshelf just consists of the books I personally own. I'm usually too lazy to upload what I'm currently reading or what have you. I initially joined this site just to catalog my books and give them some sense of organization. Joining the various groups came much later.

So no, I don't think my shelves misrepresent me, only for the fact I only have one shelf to display :)

Phil | 11837 comments I inherited some small bookshelves when my MIL passed away. Recently, I picked up three bookshelves, each over six feet tall, when my friend moved and didn't have room for them in the new house.

I have decided to display books randomly on all of these shelves, distributed in various rooms in the house. Books of a given series will stay together, but others will end up wherever the winds favor that day.

I figure it will be more interesting for family & friends; they'll never know what treasures they'll find in a given room.

Okay, as long as you don't deviate from your traditional decor style incorporating wood, glass, and metal.

Phil | 11837 comments The guest rooms and playroom don't follow that theme. Duh. They're somewhat hodge-podge.

And I know this because I've been in your house?

Phil | 11837 comments Anyone familiar with design knows that mirroring the same theme throughout the home makes it look cartoonish rather than stylish.

Sheesh. :P

Phil | 11837 comments The room above the garage has a big TV with the Wii, GameCube, and PS3 hooked up. The seating is beanbag chairs. There's an air hockey table. A small room to the side houses my son's Lego table and some other toys.

Adults rarely go up there, though it is where we do our role playing gaming every-other week.
