Lucas watched until a stick almost hit him and dodged it saying "Bri...really?"

Maddie saw Bri in the tree and tried to climb it too.
"Maddie, wait! You're going to hurt yourself," Jake said.

"I'll be fine!" Maddie said. She used a branch to pull herself up.

Lucas rubbed his forehead

"Come on, Maddie," Jake said.
Maddie didn't listen to them. She grabbed onto another branch and pulled herself up. The branch broke. Maddie screammed.

Bri quickly grabbed her hand before she hit the ground "someone get underneath of her, quit"
Lucas ran over and got under Maddie, just as Bri let her hand go allowing Lucas to catch her.

Jake stood by Lucas and Maddie.
"If Bri didn't catch you, you could've gotten hurt," Jake said.
"I'm fine," Maddie said, quietly.
