My poor puppy cant walk outside unless we shovel him a little path.. the snow is deeper than he is tall!!!
just about 6 months. He's a puggle, so he will basically be this size for the rest of his life. Its hilarious watching him when we let him out!!
Alex wrote: "Eliza, it suuuuuucks out there, huh? I might kill my dog so I don't have to walk him anymore."rofl I love it!
Jayme wrote: "I had to google puggle...they are pretty cute!"Heh, and here I was thinking puggle = muggle puppy!

US dollars, I'm afraid, Clare! (Though with the depreciation...)

They are going for $20 here in AUS also. They are hardcover not paperback too, so I did think they were quite a bargain!!
Thanks Carol! I'm wasted right now, so I won't try to figure out how to post pics (and Gustav was a bad dog tonight anyway), but we'll buy a new leash tomorrow and I'll geek out over y'all's dogs and cats and whatever else.We have two cats and a brand new shelter dog. The cats are not thrilled. The dog is very good other than tonight, and he gets a pass because it was the first time we had to crate him when we went out.
This goes all the way back to El's comment (number 76)... I just got out my old copy of Dorian Gray and I read it while I was going through a "write in the margins" stage. It's great because I'll be able to compare my thoughts. If I come across any "SATAN!s" I'll let you all know.
The "SATAN!"s are reminding me of a bit in James Thurber's memoirs where he recalls going to his first performance of King Lear. He thought all of them had a guy in the audience screaming "The world is coming to an end!" during the mad scene.
Darn! I've been upgrading the PC and hadn't seen the March reads until now. I just started The Postmistress, but maybe I should place that aside and start Shutter Island instead. And the Kindle edition is only $4.39.OK, executive decision made - Shutter Island!!
Alex wrote: "I've been making lame jokes on this thread for a couple of days now without realizing we'd settled on books. I just thought people liked talking about Dorian Gray. :P I ordered this gorgeous set..."OMG, I want them. Going straight on my Christmas wish list. I can wait that long. Thanks for sharing Alex!!
Sorry it took me so long... the folders are open for the group reads.... have it everyone! Happy reading!
I'm sorry Annabeth.. What do you mean? Why do we HAVE two catagories, or what are the catagories for this month?
