Editing Author Profile - Problems with Date of Birth

Hi,

I've just been updating the profile for this author:

For some reason his date of birth is automatically set to January 1 when adding the year 1963.

Why is that?

Looking forward to hearing from fellow librarians who may have encountered this problem.

All dates are automatically set to Jan 1 when you only input the year. I really wish they'd change that. =\

Only entering the year when the exact date of birth is unknown would be a nice feature.
