Cait I've just found an instance where someone manually added three of the stories from an anthology as separate books, even though none of them have been published separately, and one of the stories now has ratings. I feel like these ought, probably speaking, to be deleted or NOT-A-BOOK'd, but I hate taking away something that people sought out and rated -- maybe these can just be left for the contained-in feature to save eventually?

(It's three stories from Sherlock Holmes: The Hidden Years : "Mr. Sigerson", "The Case of the Lugubrious Manservent", and "Cross of Gold"; the first story has the ratings, and the last is the only one that the person who added them has personally shelved.)

Gabriela Well... i dont really like to read books but if tis a really SPICEY one than, you bet ui will read it!!!!

This Is Not The Michael You're Looking For I think they should be deleted. If we allow these, we're setting a precedent for separate entries for every short story, poem, article, etc., that anyone wants to add.

The NOT A BOOK tag is really only necessary for items with ISBN's which will come back due to Amazon.

Lisa Vegan I think they should be deleted too but because there are so few ratings/additions, it might be polite to inform those members so that they can add a whole book or at least know what's on their shelves has been altered.

Thoughts?

Cait Michael, that makes sense.

Lisa, thanks for reminding me that I can contact the reviewers! I tend to forget that. Do you think it would be better to combine the stories with their anthology before deleting so that the ratings shift to the whole book, or should I just provide a link to the book in the message?

rivka I have deleted similar listings before. It gives me a pang when it's a story I like, but I do it anyway.
