Nida i just finished reading 'the tenth circle' and while i was on the last page, i suddenly realized that joseph is daniel's father. was that explained in the book, or just left for the reader to figure out?

Shannon That was never outright explained and I didn't infer that at all. Was I supposed to?

Lara Macdonald Huh. I missed that too.

Rose Ann I missed it too. ?

Lara I think it makes sense. He was looking for "Nettie" who was probably Annette Stone, and who was dead. They called him too late Joseph because he got there after she died. And then there's the fact that Trixie reminded him of her, or that he thought Trixie was Nettie.

Barbara WHOA! I didn't even get that! And I read it twice - jeez!!!!

Melissa I totally missed that.

Pamela Pickering Just finished the book on audio and I totally missed it too. I think I was just glad the story was finally over (took me forever to finish it). I'll have to rewind a bit though and figure it out. I thought Daniel moved to Alaska with his mother? but I could be wrong on that one.

Sol WOAH i didnt even get that connection!!! The whole Joseph thing totally slipped my mind at the end of the book but now i understand it better!

Pamela Pickering A friend told me if you e-mail Jodi she usually always answers back. I wonder if one of us should e-mail her.
I sent a message to an author on Goodreads last night and she replied a couple of hours later.
Hmm...

Diann It was not explained in the book, but I thought the same thing.

Stacey Yeah, I picked up on that, but it was one more thing that made me roll my eyes. This book is like a freakin' clown car.

Denise omg i didnt realize it either!!! good point!

It felt to me that it was inferred if it was explained in the book, I missed it.

Michael I did not notice that either, good eye.

Dinah I never caught that and I just finished reading it!

Iswary I totally missed it too.. Need to read that last portion again..............

I completely missed that as well, but your reasoning makes sense!

Elle Trixie also thought there was something familiar about Joseph, and then Daisy mistook Daniel to be Joseph when she first saw him. Plus there was the amount of attention paid to Annette's grave which suggested her ex-husband was somewhere around.

Bobby Karmakar The drunk Trixie encounters is her grandfather?! I just finished the book a few days ago and it never hit me. Wow. That makes sense to put it in there then. So cool!
