As per your request. You were in luck, I'm home sick today and was able to make use of our pre-made ebay backdrop ;)
This is Great! Thank you so much. I may have to ask your permission in the near future to use your images for a blog post about keeping a reading journal and I will have to check out the new sharpie ink.

I can completely understand that situation. I keep my reading journal open with a pen right with me whenever I read. That way its so easy!

I did order two - the Woodstock commemorative journals. I'm going to turn one into a book journal, and I'm getting ideas here on how to set it it.
GREAT topic.

I ordered a journal, just because of this thread, and will start as soon as it comes. Anyone have any suggestions on what sorts of things, other than books read and bought, I might keep in the journal?

Personally, I enjoy keeping track of a few things, such as:
1. Quotes from the book
2. Author
3. Publisher
4. Year published
5. where i got the book or if it was a gift, recommendation, etc.
6. other notes such as if it reminded me of something or if I recommended it to someone else
7. the date i started reading and ended reading
8. my overall liking/disliking

But this thread has inspired me, and I think I will pick up one of those moleskine book journals--I'm a sucker for moleskines and similar notebooks--and keep some additional information like you guys have mentioned. I may also post a short review on my blog if I think of something I'd like to say publicly.

I still prefer manually writing in my journal and I keep one even though I type most of my stuff up onto the blog.
