Dangerous Hero Writing Challenge Themes
Lol, yeah Arch. Right now it's on the grill, because I got the outline done (that's like marinating the steaks!) and now it's just plain 'ol writing (meat on the grill!). Sorry, I live with 3 guys who are total foodies! :)Totally agree about the heroine - girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! But I wrote a story not so long ago with a dangerous heroine and I like their edge. It's different from a conventional heroine.
My story for the challenge is not exactly Mr & Mrs Smith but it has some echoes - as in, I want them to be this married couple who suddenly find out the truth about each other.

Ladies, I will be honest, I feel that the next theme should be the Desert Island theme that Danielle suggested. I like that ideal. But, hey, we have a nomination that will be taking place soon.
Lol Arch. I'm still on the current wip so I'll wait for the challenge date. I hope to make some more progress on this project till then.I can work the desert island theme - just gotta tweak my start for that (this kinda feels like doing NaNo).
Personally, I hope the best friend to lovers theme makes it in, coz that's my preferred basis for them to be together.

If you don't mind me asking, what theme is your story is now?
Lol, I just have the characterization - unlikely, jumped-the-gun wedding between a former spy heroine and an EMT hero. The rest I'll tweak and adapt as per the challenge's requirement.

I need to know by 9:00 p.m. central time, who plans on participating in the new writing theme.
I know that every story is an ongoing story, until the writer ends their story and that a writer can write to as many challenges as they want, but I will not be participating in the new theme. I'm focusing on finishing Trespassing and I have a lot to write to this story. Plus, after I finish with this story, I want to finish my other interracial story Courage.
To my knowledge and I can stand corrected, Danielle and Rae will not be starting the new theme on August 15th. They might still write to it, but at a later date.
So, this leaves the new writers. For any of the new writers that wants to participate in this new theme, please keep in mind there's a possibility that only the new writers will be participating in this new challenge or that "you, new writer" might be the only person writng to this challenge. How many of the new writers are game for this?
Again, by Sunday, August 8th by 9:00 p.m. central time, I need to know who plans on participating in the new theme. This is for both party: old and new writers.
August 10th is right around the corner, I don't want writers nominating themes, if no one plans on writing.
The writing challenge can take place at a much later time.
I plan to be in , but lol, not if I'm the only one writing!

The whole chapter one or even an installment to chapter one doesn't have to be posted on August 15th.
On August 15th, if the writers want to create their thread under the writing folder, where the current stories are at, you can do that and even share a little about your story.

Writing can consist of using a sticky note or note pad to remind yourself of something that you need to do.

I'm very shy, when it comes down to my writing. I took a huge step in doing the challenges.
I am comfortable - figure it's just like a crit loop. I just never worked with a theme before and done a challenge over it. Lol, I'm also feeling the slight pressure of being a bit alone at first, and wondering if folks will even read my stuff. See, a basket case!I hope suggestions have been coming to you regarding the themes. So far on here, you and I are the only ones who've offered a theme.

Today is the 13th, Saturday the winning theme will be announced.
I have plans for Saturday and I would have to be somewhere for 2 p.m. and will not be coming home until later that night, so I'll continue the theme nomination until 8 p.m. central time and I'll announce the winner around 10 p.m. central time. I might not get back home until 9ish.
So far, there's only two nominations.
Mine - Stranded on a Desert Island. I've noticed that when I have posted my nomination, it recorded it as August 9, when I have really made it early August 10th, but Goodreads is not on my central time.

Well, I don't think there's a rule that you can't have the woman be a dangerous bad girl.
I like my heroes to be a dangerous bad boy/good bad boy and my heroines to let him know what's on her mind. If she has to put him in his place, then she has to put him in his place.
