If you were to make a list of 3 1/2 do's and 3 1/2 don'ts what would they be?
DO: 1. Decide who your audience is 2. Keep your main character 13 or older for YA 3. Go to a bookstore to see what's out there and what sells. (Unless you just want to write for yourself and you don't care if it succeeds. You've got to know your market, otherwise.) 3 1/2. Take a break every hour or so. Stretch. Call a friend.
DON'T: 1. Listen to the negative self-talk in yo' head 2. Throw away your rough drafts 3. Forget to back up your work :O) 3 1/2. Neglect your friends
