Hello all! I’m an old user of Goodreads, but haven’t been active for the past couple years while my girls were super small. Now that they’re a little more independent, I plan to up my group participation! My husband and I live in Muskoka, and I work as a librarian. We have two kids, and we all love to read. I’m the biggest reader by far, but I’m sure the girls will catch up soon. I love any and all genres, but I have a soft spot for a good family drama!

Hi, y'all. This is more of a reintroduction, since I've had to go silent for a while. But I'm back now and ready for some romance action! So, my name's Abby, and I'm a writer and reader of romance. Right now I'm reading Pride and Prejudice again (because why not), and I'm super excited my younger son will start it in about a week in his English class. Yay! I live in Florida but still feel like a Yankee at heart. I sing bawdy songs as a wench at the local medieval faire (which is happening this weekend) and love to dance though I lack all sorts of grace.
Can't wait to catch up again!
Do it! Ugh, but make sure it's a clear forecast. It was SO SO SO muddy. SO VERY MUDDY. I've been participating for over 20 years (doing differing things), and I still love it.

Hi everyone! My name is Amy, and would you believe I have just started to really like historical romances? I can't stop reading book suggestions, videos, etc! I look forward to getting to know you all. :)
Hi EveryoneMy name is Jan aka Author J.S. Scott and I am a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of steamy romance. I love to read all types of books and literature and write both contemporary romance stories and paranormal romance. All my books almost always feature an Alpha Male and have a happily ever after. I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my husband and two very spoiled German Shepherds.

Hello, all! I've been reading romance for a few years, and currently read more historical romance (with or without a mystery element) than any other subgenre. I also read some contemporary romance, especially books recommended by the first romance author I found, Roni Loren.I'm also an author, venturing into what I think is romance (I'll be posting a question on that in a little while) for the first time after 9 SFF novels.
Hi I'm Stories and Verse. This is sort of a reintroduction, i started Goodreads around 2013 but i haven't been active until recently. I read a lot of Lisa Renee Jones, Susan Hatler, Laurie LaClaire, and various authors for self-help books. I always wish there was an in person self help book club that I could join (I live in Phoenix Arizona) but I don't see any. The closest thing i found was the Barnes and Noble book club, which I was hoping to join in June but haven't had a chance to read the book. I am hoping to read the July book and attend the club when it meets in August. I usually review the books I read on Goodreads and frequently comment on other reviewers reviews. I look forward to seeing your review if you are a reviewer!
You could probably go to the book club meeting even if you don’t read the book. Very few book clubs stick solely to book talk.
Hi All. I am P.W. Hazeldine author of romance novels with HEAs. I am here to join in the fun when I am not writing and to take and answer questions on my books and offer advice to budding authors.
Hello everyone, It's a pleasure to meet you all :-)
My name is Ramla Zareen, and I'm an avid reader of mystery and romance books, these days leaning more towards light-hearted contemporary romances.
Some of my favourite romance authors include: Judith McNaught, Julie James, Robin Bielman, Jennifer Shirk, Kristan Higgens, Rachael Anderson, Ashley Mallory, Zeenat Mahal, Adite Banerjie, Sapna Bhog, Mahi Jay, Shilpa Suraj, Ruchi Vasudeva . . . and the list goes on, lol.
I'm also a self-published author on Amazon.
My book is titled The One for Me
It's a light-hearted, romantic fiction, set in modern-day Pakistan.
I love connecting with fellow book-lovers, so please feel free to send me a friend request if you like :-)
Thank you!

Riding Uphill by C.S. Singer
Here's the synopsis:
After surviving wrenching heartbreak, Melina Rose’s life as she knew it was forever changed. No longer was she living the life of the perfect family that she had carefully crafted – attentive mother, dutiful wife and successful executive. Melina now walked through her days with an emptiness that she never thought could be filled – until she has a chance encounter with a very sexy stranger. Thinking she had a onetime fantasy come-to-life, Melina’s world is rocked when Lucas Hart, a gorgeous consultant, makes her his next project to conquer. A man who doesn’t take no for answer, Lucas pursues Melina and breaks through her defenses to make her feel things she didn’t know she could ever again. But things get troublesome when a secret from Lucas’ past catches up to him and Melina’s ex-husband, Jack, decides he wants her back. Melina is torn between her two worlds, and as she struggles to decide what she wants, she finds her life in danger from an unknown threat. Melina must choose between an exciting, yet complicated and uncertain, future with Lucas or the security and familiarity of her past with Jack, all while trying to determine who is out to harm her and why.

Hello Everyone.I'm Remi and I am an avid reader (around work, family, etc.) and author (ditto).
I like the sound of this group because it has the words Happily and Café in it!
My novel, should anyone wish to take a look, is a Modern Romance, recently released on Kindle Unlimited.
It ends in a Happily Ever After, however there is an extremely scary dog involved. This is my romantic debut and I would love to get some feedback.
Thank you, and I will try to contribute regularly.
A Millionaire, An Artist, A Seduction
Hi everyone. My name is Cindy and I joined because I liked the description of this group and the numerous books that are on the bookshelves. I was just wondering how active this group is because the monthly group read at the top of the page is still showing 2017. Would love to share some of the books I've read on the bookshelves and would also like to interact with people to share interests. Especially, contemporary romance.
Shawna wrote: "Thanks for the invite, Pamela! :)It's good to see several of my GR friends here! :)

Someone who started their romance journey much the same way I began mine.... *waves*

Hello all. I'm so glad I've found this lovely group! I write Jewish Historical Fiction/ Romance (sweet, HEA). The stars have aligned and I can now announce the release of my latest book, "Celestial Persuasion." I hope to entice you:Abigail Isaacs fears ever again falling under the power of love and dedicates her life to studying the heavens. However, upon her father’s demise she finds herself in reduced circumstances and must write to her brother, who has long been away at sea. When instead Captain Wentworth of the HMS Laconia sends a tragic reply, Abigail is asked to set aside her own ambitions and fulfill her brother’s dreams in the Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata.
In his relentless pursuit for justice, Lieutenant Raphael Gabay lends his sword to the Spanish American cause. But as he prepares to set sail with the others, he is entrusted with the care of a young woman. She is quite unlike anyone he has ever known, and Raphael wonders whether the brilliant astronomer will see beyond his frivolous façade and recognize his true nature.
Their destinies have been plotted beyond the celestial veil; their charts foretell of adventure. Can these two troubled souls be persuaded to heed the stars and find love—and their purpose—in this fledgling nation?
Set against the backdrop of Argentina’s struggle for independence, this Jewish historical fiction may be considered a prequel to Jane Austen’s "Persuasion."
Celestial Persuasion
Hiya my name is Donna (you can call me Donnajo or DJ). I love reading romance (spicy, non spicy, new adult, contemporary, romantic suspense). Might try out others but my mood have changed over the years so not too into fantasy type or historical I guess it depends. I'm a big reader (goodreads goal is 220) but this year I seem to again behind only at 52 books read so far need to get my mojo moving. It's not that I don't have the time but I been spending more time doing other stuff online lately. So I need all the help I can get to get books read. I do read other genres besides romance (mystery, thriller, suspense, fiction as long as not a lot of historical even though lately been doing the f2f library book club so out of comfort zone reading has been happening). I look forward to getting to know everyone.
