Hi,My name is Faz and I'm really glad I joined this group because I love a happy ending. I love all types of genres of books but I have to say that romance books are currently my favourite and I don't mind reading any genre whether is paranormal or historical as long as there's some romance.
I'm excited to find and read some really good books with a HEA :)
So I never made it here to say hi and introduce myself. Just started in on the word games. Really like the word game forums. :-)I love historical and paranormal romance with the happily ever after, HEA. **sigh** I read more paranormal and urban fantasy combined but if PNR and HR are combined romance is the top. My pet peeve is cliffhangers, hate them. Find that the YA seem to like that ploy so generally stay away from the young adult. Erotic romance is good too though a good story has to be there too.
I'm trying to finish 100 books from the top 100 lists of All About Romances top 100 lists from 1998 on. Newest list . They do another survey and list every 3 years or so. I got rid of all the contemporary romance and made a list aar-100 of 189 of those HEA books left. I've got 53 read. I saw some listopea lists here on Goodreads but didn't agree with some of the picks at all.
I'll continue on with the word games when I have spare time. :-)

I wasn't aware of that list :( well I know there is that list but I did not know the importance of it [which i think being a list meant to be a guide/recs to what people should read]. OMG and people are discussing that here - I should endeavor to check it out.
They actually put out a new list every 3 years or so. I love to see their analysis of the votes. Some authors get a lot of votes but all different books, so don't get much play on the lists. It is interesting. Here are the years list.1998
2000
2004
2007
2010
2013 and newest I guess they should be getting another poll and list up for next year or so.
It has change quite a bit but a lot has stayed the same also. Yes, I use it for deciding new authors and sometimes books from already read author.
Have I taken this off topic?
Hi, everyone!
Hey folks! I'm new to GoodReads and a huge fan of a good HEA. I'm always on the look out for new things to read. Looking forward to seeing what suggestions everyone has. Please friend me or feel free to message me suggestions.
Hello everyoneI’m Laurette, UK born, living in SW France (nice!)I love romances, from the classics to the moderns. I’ve just had another re-read of ‘Jane Eyre’ (my 50th) and mention this book along with other love stories in the latest article ‘The City of Love’ on my blog, would love to hear some comments from this group, though quite a few of the love stories I talk about seem to end in tears... still, I think some would still qualify as a HEA???
Thanks and happy reading
Laurette
Hello all! :) My name is Margaret, and I am 25 years old. My husband and I live in Muskoka with our two dogs, Bilbo and Snuggles. I work as a librarian, and he is a chef/butcher. I adore reading, and can't go to bed without reading at least one chapter. Usually it's more like two or three. ;)
Welcome Cate. I can't match you on Bali but there is a whole gang of us who love to write romance and want to reach out to others. Stop by here often. Best to you with your writing.

Hi everyone! My name is Julia and I have recently discovered how wonderful reading fiction is. I'm hooked! I'm looking forward to finding and discussing new books. :)
Hi Everyone, I'm Ronnie, not new to Goodreads, but brand new to groups. This seems like it might be a good fit ...
My name is Tisha and I'm a 43 year old housewife. Overall, I enjoy a large variety of genres, but my favorites are: cozy mysteries, paranormal and dark romance, horror, erotica, manga and graphic novels.I also enjoy watching anime, mystery dramas, medical dramas, Asian dramas, British dramas and comedies and all kinds of movies...most especially horror...I tend to watch any ghost/haunting horrors I can get my hands on! I also enjoy computer and console gaming. My husband and I are both addicted to watching other gamers on YouTube and Twitch!!
My hobbies other than reading include: on-line surfing, hanging with friends, visiting the beach, and being with my family. I am an animal lover, currently I have a Pomeranian (Remy) and a chihuahua (Milo).
I am always looking for friends and reading recommendations, so feel free to friend me, and it's great to meet you! :)
Hey guys! I am pretty new to Goodreads, both as a reader and as an author. (Though as a reader I have been using Goodreads reviews to guide my book purchasing). I'm super excited to get involved in the community!
Olivia, I look at the lists and ratings to find books for the kids - I know where you're coming from!
Hi there! I'm Alexa. I've never been part of an online book group, but am exploring whole new territories these days. Your group name caught my eye, it's very sweet. My friends and family will quickly tell you, Alexa likes a good story, provided there is a happy ending. If there's not, there will be a book thrown across the room or a shoe thrown at the TV! I like romance novels so much, I've thrown my own hat in the ring. Currently, kindle editions of Rising Ridge is free, I'm just hoping to get my name out there :)
In any case, looking forward to having new friends in this big online world to chat about a good book with!
