My name is Faz and I'm really glad I joined this group because I love a happy ending. I love all types of genres of books but I have to say that romance books are currently my favourite and I don't mind reading any genre whether is paranormal or historical as long as there's some romance.
I'm excited to find and read some really good books with a HEA :)

I love historical and paranormal romance with the happily ever after, HEA. **sigh** I read more paranormal and urban fantasy combined but if PNR and HR are combined romance is the top. My pet peeve is cliffhangers, hate them. Find that the YA seem to like that ploy so generally stay away from the young adult. Erotic romance is good too though a good story has to be there too.
I'm trying to finish 100 books from the top 100 lists of All About Romances top 100 lists from 1998 on. Newest list . They do another survey and list every 3 years or so. I got rid of all the contemporary romance and made a list aar-100 of 189 of those HEA books left. I've got 53 read. I saw some listopea lists here on Goodreads but didn't agree with some of the picks at all.
I'll continue on with the word games when I have spare time. :-)

I wasn't aware of that list :( well I know there is that list but I did not know the importance of it [which i think being a list meant to be a guide/recs to what people should read]. OMG and people are discussing that here - I should endeavor to check it out.

1998
2000
2004
2007
2010
2013 and newest I guess they should be getting another poll and list up for next year or so.
It has change quite a bit but a lot has stayed the same also. Yes, I use it for deciding new authors and sometimes books from already read author.
Have I taken this off topic?
Hi, everyone!

I’m Laurette, UK born, living in SW France (nice!)I love romances, from the classics to the moderns. I’ve just had another re-read of ‘Jane Eyre’ (my 50th) and mention this book along with other love stories in the latest article ‘The City of Love’ on my blog, would love to hear some comments from this group, though quite a few of the love stories I talk about seem to end in tears... still, I think some would still qualify as a HEA???
Thanks and happy reading
Laurette

I like your approach Cate for having people sign up for your newsletter. I admire people who stay ahead of the curve.

I also enjoy watching anime, mystery dramas, medical dramas, Asian dramas, British dramas and comedies and all kinds of movies...most especially horror...I tend to watch any ghost/haunting horrors I can get my hands on! I also enjoy computer and console gaming. My husband and I are both addicted to watching other gamers on YouTube and Twitch!!
My hobbies other than reading include: on-line surfing, hanging with friends, visiting the beach, and being with my family. I am an animal lover, currently I have a Pomeranian (Remy) and a chihuahua (Milo).
I am always looking for friends and reading recommendations, so feel free to friend me, and it's great to meet you! :)

I like romance novels so much, I've thrown my own hat in the ring. Currently, kindle editions of Rising Ridge is free, I'm just hoping to get my name out there :)
In any case, looking forward to having new friends in this big online world to chat about a good book with!
