Introductions
Hi,I've just realized that I've been in this group for half a month and I haven't introduced myself...
I'm Anna, I'm from Barcelona, Spain. Since I had my first daughter I've got no time to study English (which I need for work) so I decided to read in English. Honestly, Shakespeare is too much for me, so I began reading novels that I wouldn't have dared read in Spanish/Catalan (here it's quite shameful, it's like for really "low profile readers"). I read, and read, and read, and I've become addicted. Honestly, after work and with a family with two children to cope who needs NOT HEA novels? I don't get it, so now I'm stick to HEA and I don't foresee a change in it: it's so an extensive wondrous world...
I discovered both Goodreads and this group half a month ago and I cannot believe my luck. Finally I get to share my likes and dislikes and get lots of good suggestions. Thank you all!!!
Welcome, Anna. I love Spain. Its beautiful. I never made it to Barcelona but I wanted to. I was stationed in Rota but I traveled a little while I was there and love the country.
Hi Anna! I'm in the same boat, my friends in Real Life think reading romances is beneath them, so for me it's like a not-so-little secret part of my life. I'm addicted too, and there have been times in my life when I've been glad to be able to escape into a HEA.
Thank you ladies for the warm welcome. I know that it's highly unlikely, but if you ever get to go to Barcelona let me know, I'd love to show you this wonderful city.
I would love to see Barcelona but I don't go far from home anymore. I may have to take a internet tour sometime :)
Hi everyone... I'm fairly new to THIS site and don't have many books listed that I've read but I LOVE happy ending stories!!! Although at the moment I'm reading those crazy Hunger Games series... I'm hoping for a happy ending to the last of the trilogy. Ugh! Thank my 14 year old son for that! :-) I'm a HUGE Nicholas Sparks fan and though there is an occasional "sad" ending.. just love the stories.
Welcome Tina. I've only read the first of the Hunger Games and loved it. Need to clear a weekend to read the next two. Glad to have you here!
Haloooo to everyone! I am Mey and I am looking for a different type of historical romance book. I just realized that I had never read an HR book, that the heroine is not beautiful, flawless and curvaceous. I want something different. Can anyone please introduce me a book this type of book. Thank you so much! Hoping to hear from you guys!
I keep seeing all my GR friends hanging out at the HEA Cafe, and I figured I'd join the party! I feel sure this place will be filled with my kind of people....if it doesn't have a HEA, what's the point?

Hi everyone.I'm Lauren and I love HEAs. In fact, if the book doesn't end happily I get the urge to throw it against the wall (not with my Kindle though).
I look forward to discussing my favorites and discovering new ones.
Hi Ladies, I'm Eryn Lockhart--unrepentant Happily Ever After addict--regardless of whether it's found in movies, books, or music. I'm brand new to Goodreads, and over the moon for finally making the transition from romance writer to author. My favorite HEA movies are Ever After, Pride and Prejudice (with Kiera Knightley), and Phantom of the Opera (with Emmy Rossum); favorite HEA books: Something Wonderful & A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught, Breath of Magic by Teresa Medieros, and Elizabeth Lowell's Medieval and Only series.

Welcome Eryn. I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Lowell's contemporaries, haven't read too much of her Medieval. Might have to check them out!
Welcome, Eryn! You've listed some of my favorite books. I've seen the opera Phantom of the Opera twice. Once in L.A. with Michael Crawford in the lead.
CaroB, that's a tough one to answer - I loved them all. There's a theme that begins in the first one and carries through in addition to the love story in each, so my recommendation would be to read them in order:

Hi everyone! I am new to goodreads, but I'm dying for some great contemporary recommendations. I write contemporary romance (London Falling, just released in ebook), but I always end up buying historical (because I love to be swept away to new worlds). Love Susan Elizabeth Phillips, but haven't found anyone else in contemporary to compare. (I miss Judith McNaught books too - does she still write?) I'd love some recommendations!
London Falling
Welcome, Emma. Some of my favored contemporary writers are Jill Shalvis, Lori Foster, Rachel Gibson, Linda Howard and Julie James.

Welcome Emma :-)I'd second Pamela's recommendations. I've recently discovered Inez Kelley, Suzanne Brockmann and Jennifer Crusie.
