Is there room in HEAC for a guy that increasingly enjoys romance? I'm a newbie to the genre and have listened/read several Nicholas Sparks books. I'm currently reading Tracy Brogan's Crazy Little Thing. I think my tastes run toward romantic suspense/thrillers.

As far as myself, I'm a proud dad of three and husband to Cora for the past 18 years. We live in metropolitan Detroit. In the past, I worked as a newspaper reporter. I left the field almost a decade ago and now satisfy my writing itch with a little fiction writing

Awwww.....don't say that. Sparks is one of my favorite authors...I LOVE him!! Yeah, he doesn't much apply the concept of "Happily Ever After"" to his books yet....I think his books are wonderful, touching and full of emotion.

But that's all right....I totally respect your opinions :))

Sparks gets a little syrupy at times, but I think he does tell a story well. For me, that's the number one thing... does the story hold my interest. I can forgive a lot of sins, but if you bore me for too long, I'm done. As far as HEA, I'm such a novice reader of romance I should probably keep mum ;)
