Swapping the order of multiple authors

Is there any easy way of shifting which authors are in the author1 and author2 slots other than editing each book and cutting and pasting them one at a time?

(I'm looking at the book listings for René Goscinny and his two primary artists, Jean-Jacques Sempé and Albert Uderzo, and there are a lot of books there which list the illustrator first and the writer second, which means that they can't be combined with the bulk of the books which list the writer first and the illustrator second (or not at all).)

I'm assuming there's not, but just in case I wanted to ask! Sorting those out will be a pretty monumental task otherwise.

I am not aware of anything other than cut and paste, and I've done it in similar cases. It is a pain. But after a bit, I find you can really get into the zone. :D
