I just got I Am Legend to read as my son said it was very good! As he does not read many books it must be good for him to actually read it!

Yeah it is good. It's unbelievably different to the movie; I knew going in there were some differences but I didn't expect them to be so big.

I am glad I haven't seen the movie then! I hate it when they make too many huge changes in a film, sometimes there isn't any reason to.

When you read the book, you'll see that it would have been very difficult to make a truly faithful adaptation. They did originally make the end of the movie match the plot of the book, but I think test audiences didn't like it so they filmed a more usual "Hollywood" style ending.
