well, I don;t have a beard to lose, but I might chop the hair - but not today. a new picture is an idea, I have had pretty kitty up for about a year now. She has changed so much. I will think on that one. Thanks for the idea.

I have been thinking about changing my profile pic for the new year but just haven't found one I like yet plus I'm camera shy :)I like your new pic, Jim. As for losing the beard ... well, yours suits you but I'm not a fan of facial hair so I say lose it :D
The beard looks good, it all depends on how much work you have to put into it? Is it hard on upkeep, or is shaving more bothersome. In cases like this, I go for the practical solution.
I like the beard. You might look scary if you shave them off. I suddenly have a vision of a convict in one of the movies I saw. There, bald heads with no beards reminds me of convicts. I'm crazy that way. I hope this doesn't offend you.
hmm, i like it but like Kasia said it should have more to do with how much work it would be to keep it or shave frequently.
Maybe I worded the post poorly and disguised the true intent. You are supposed to take a new pic of yourself and post it as your profile pic. Or just post a new pic in your profile and let us know that it is out there. I like to know with whom I'm having discussions.As for the beard, it will go in Spring. Most years I grow one around Thanksgiving and shave it around Easter. Sometimes it lasts until May. Other times it doesn't make it out of January. A few years I haven't grown one at all. Since I have to shave the neck and cheeks everyday there is no time savings in having one versus not. Also, I shave my head every other day. If I wanted easier to groom that would be the first thing to change. Shaving nearly every day for 30 years just makes it part of your everyday routine.
Sorry, I got your meaning the first time. I just don't have an idea what pix I would post yet. It would really depend on what I'm feeling at the moment.
So post several. You don't even have to make one your profile pic. I don't know as though there is a limit to the number of pics you can post. Just let us know new ones are out there and we'll go and look.
Ok Jim, I added a photo just for you :) My hair is actually much longer now (about halfway down my back) but I had easy access to this photo to upload and I look about the same. Maybe I will try and find a more recent one to add. I will let you know when/if I do.
I haven't changed much since I took and posted my picture so I'm leaving it as it is, but I'd sure like to see everybody else's **grins**

I've added a couple of new ones but not of me :) I don't have many photos stored on my laptop. All my pics are on my desktop which I can't access at the moment as my study is currently the guest room.

Ah, i changed my pic back in January. Mine seriously needed a change. I already uploaded another one for the summer as well. Not of me of course!LOL

I love the pictures too. It's nice to put faces to the names. I've left my profile the same (I changed it recently) but added pictures of me without a wig. I was surprised at how few of those there are! I'm always the one behind the camera unless I have a costume on.

But, but, but, what about Vin Diesel? He's bald, head and chin. Though, I'm not sure if I ever look up past his chest enough to really notice if he looks like a bald headed convict. ;-) Eeek, am I being sexist? Tsk tsk, SO unlike me (honest!)
Have changed profile pic to one Mr. 6 (nephew) and I took when clowning around. Finally. Have had the last one since 2008 - and, since then, hair grew out, was cut and is now growing out again (prob time to cut again in which case it'll look like the previous photo).
