For those that haven't had a chance to get through the book yet, what are your first impressions?

I'm surprised nobody has chimed in here. It seems that AGoT is one of those that you either love, or hate. I was expecting to see some that might have gotten a couple hundred pages in and then stalled out.

Should I take it to be a good sign that everyone simply loved it? Cool.
