Eddie Chase from The Hunt For Atlantis goes on my list. He's a bit atypical for an action hero, but he definitely kicks but and has a silly sense of humor.
I just finished
and Tarmun Vykers is defiantly a dangerous hero. He is a bit of an antihero and the main character of this epic fantasy.
Detective Mike Chapman from the Alexandra Cooper novels by Linda Fairstein.Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield in the Matthew Reilly novels.
Jack Reacher from the Lee Child novels.
Dirk Pitt from the Clive Cussler novels. Yum!!
When I took a 5 year break from romance novels, these were some of the books/series that I was absolutely addicted to. Not least because these guys were absolutely swoon-worthy, kick-arse, and totally badass (and if I'd been writing them, I'd totally have given 'em all a permanent love interest....me!!)
Oh Neeta, we seem to have a lot of the same tastes! Shane is my literary husband! Have you read Joe Pike by Robert Crais? I think you will love him. And Will Robie by David Baldacci!
Have read Baldacci but not Crais... might have to look into that!Oh and how could I forget Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Ryhme!! For someone paralysed from the neck down, he's still completely badass! Just freakin brilliant!
