Adding a different edition

I'm new to Goodreads Librarians and I don't know how to add a different edition. The cover I'm trying to add has the same ISBN as another edition. I clicked on 'add a new edition', added the info, left the ISBN blank, then clicked on 'create book'. But instead of adding the edition, it creates a whole new book. What am I doing wrong, and how do you add a new edition?

You're not doing anything wrong -- you just haven't done the last step. That is using the combine feature to combine your new edition with its brethren.
