Additional edition

Hello,

Unfortunately I am new to Goodreads and don't understand merging/combining/etc. editions yet and would like to ask for help.

There is already the title "Mein Tag ist deine Nacht" by Melanie Rose (Knaur, ISBN 9783426663646). I bought the book club edition which doesn't exist on Goodreads yet. Thus I created a new entry for it which is missing the book cover and relation to the other editions.

Would it be possible to add the book cover as seen on the book clubs homepage (http://www.derclub.de/is-bin/INTERSHO...) and relate it to the other editions?

I also noticed another mistake: In my printed edition the original title is given as "Lovestruck" though the internet is correct on that: "Being Lauren" by Melanie Rose. Would it be possible to also change my mistake with the original titel? Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's been a while ... May I ask for your help with merging two separate entries for one book?

It is "The Bad Beekeeper's Club" by Bill Turnbull. The entry

is all fine and well (hardcover edition). But then there is also the stump

containing information on the paperback edition. The problem might be emerging from the different spellings of "beekeeper's".

Dear all,

It has been a while since I used this threat to ask for your help with a book. I hope to be back more often again now.

I just stumbled across the following two entries which both refer to the same book:

The difference is in the authors list. According to the book cover the book is by Corrie Lynne Player with Brette McWhorter Sember and Mary C. Owen. I am not sure about other names which can be found in conjunction with the book on Amazon (David Brodzinsky and Michael Devlin).

It would be great if you could please merge the two entries. Thank you very much in advance.

I clicked on the "add a new edition" link for a book (Over Prairie Trails, by Frederick Philip Grove) and entered what information I could for the edition I was reading, and it appears to have created a completely separate book entry instead of just a new edition.

This is where I wanted to add the edition:

I don't see any way for me to shuttle the new book entry into the right spot, so I wanted to alert the GR librarians to this error.

Any advice on how to prevent that from happening in the future? It autofilled title and author when I clicked on the link, so I don't think there could have been a discrepancy there. Are there nonrequired fields that need to be filled in to match the other editions, or....? Thanks!

I combined it. You didn't do it wrong. The books don't combine automatically. After creating an edition it must be combined manually by a librarian.

Looking up the title "It's all about the bike" I was suggested books by three different authors and all of them have a problem with several unmerged entries on Goodreads. Could someone please "adopt" these books and do a big merger for each?

They should be combined, merging happens when after combining an edition is deleted.
But at the moment there is a problem with the combine function, so it needs to wait until that is working again.
