Why does time fly by as you get older?

i think it has to do with looking back as you get older and looking forward when you are younger along with the feeling of time compression when you get older thinking about where you are in relation to the possible ending point (life expectancy). think about christmas, the older you are the more it flies up on you and when you are a kid it takes forever to get here. anticipation of what is to come takes longer than reality of what is hereok... smoked a huge fatty and wrote that and now as my buzz fades i realize it made no sense. sorry
Time is a relative concept anyhow. Time isn't really flying by, it's going by really, really, really slowly, but we're too busy to notice that.
Or something like that.

i love this convo. reminds me of the scene from animal house where they are all smoking pot and discussing how an entire universe could be in your fingernail

I tried reading this one and could have used some pre-dawn pot to help me make sense of it....http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/02/sci...
