Oh, it's adult. And it's HOT. I LOVEd this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series, already bought most of them :)
I've read the first three in the BDB series and enjoyed them all. The basic premise appears to be the redemption of each brother thru the love of a good woman. However the brothers are more complex than they initially appear. Discovering their past histories, secrets, and quirks makes the books more personality driven than action driven. But this is a nice change from other urban fantasy/paranormal series that are written more in the suspense thriller style. Re Dark Lover - it's a great introduction to the series and a fun read.
Yea this is definitely an Adult series. I have read 7 of them not, and I enjoyed each one. I love the way J.R. Ward writes. She kept me sucked into the books so much I loose track of time. I just can't get enough of or recommend her book often enough.
These are one of the best series going, definitely adult. I have read them all and I always have to start them as soon as I get them and can't put it down til its finished. I even took a sick day once to read a new one because I couldn't WAIT!!!! I'd recommend to all adult vampire romance fans.
Really blew my mind this series. It's super hot, but the narrative is beautiful and I love all the characters. I've read them all twice...And still can't get enough.
i'm reading the newest one and wow...I had to force myself to put it down the other night...they are definately unique books within all the paranormal vampire ones that are out there right now
I love the subplots ... the interaction and personalities that grow each book even if they are not the main character....In the third book I not only loved Bella and Zsadist but Phury hit meter for the first time
In the fourth book - I am currently crying my way through this one ... don't ask me why? I love Marissa and Butch but Vishous is becoming more wonderful and Wrath is showing me the reasons I LOVED him in book one ... so much more than the grumpy blind king....
I love this series it is so great and I can not wait for the next one even though I have to wait nearly a year for it! I think I started my journey with V and Jane as it happened to be the first I picked up from the library and instantly fell in love :) Though my favourite book has to be Zsadist's and Bella's I cried through this one, it is amazing how much I cry at this series, but I love it soooo much :)
I have read the first 3 books of the series. I love them but I still don't get why a good portion of the book is from the point of view of the lessers. Am I the only one who skims through those parts?
Nope I skipped those parts too, but on my second time round lol :)
No, I don't like reading the lesser point of view either. I find it irritating to jump from the brotherhood to the lessers so I tend to skim over those parts as fast as I can.
It's not that they are boring............ it's just that the brothers are far more interesting.
I skim the first time around and then make sure I read it the second time just to make sure I don't miss anything. I am glad to know that I am not the only one.
Definately Adult and boy am I glad I started reading them. Can't wait to go to the library and pick up book 3 and 4 that are already on hold for me. I even got one of my co-workers hooked on it. She read the 1st book in 2 days!! Would make great movies, but I am not sure if they would be able to find enough hot actors that fit the description of each brother.
They would definatly struggle to get men hot enough and big enough! But yum lol
The books are amazing! They are hot and steamy and very much catering to the Female adults imaginations! All the books will make you fall in love with the brothers even more than the book before..And you'll soon find them all irresistible!
I love this series and love the way the author writes, it is funny and I enjoy keeping up with the other characters in each of the books. I agree would make a great tv or movie series
Heroes and Heartbreakers did an interesting Blog on who would/could play the Brothers in a movie....some interesting choices that's for sure ;)
This book is definitely worth your time... It has action,comedy,drama,romance....It has bromance too, but thats on the latter part.. :D I just love the brotherhood!!

HOT! HOT! HOT! I have all of the books on audio and have them set up to play one after the other. They have great storylines and I was hooked after book one. Patiently (Well, actually not so patiently) waiting for the next one to come out.
Lover Unleashed just came out. I am half way through so far...and it is as good if not bette than the rest. I love that you follow so many different charactes at once.
I love the amount of new characters they introduced too :)
it is an adult book and you'll be unable to put the books down and unable to wait to get the next one read the differant characters are brill
I recently found this series and read the first 3 books in 4 days. I decided rather than fly through the whole series that I should go back and take my time re-reading them so I do not miss anything that could be of some importance in the newer books. I too find that I skim the lesser's material - I mean I quickly read them the first time but this read they just get a quick skim. Happy reading :)
I love the BDB, have collected just about all. Has anyone read any of the Fallen Angels series? They are very good as well, not as good as BDB!
Yes I've read whats been written so far and I agree they're not as good as BDB but they are a different type and I do like anything Ward writes!
I have read the 1st book in the fallen angel series and have the 2nd one but have not started it yet...they are good because they are JR Ward but I am partial to the BDB series.

I read the first Fallen Angel the same time I read Dark Lover and enjoyed it, but the secnd was still on pre-order at that stage and I just never got to it

I absolutely adore the brothers :) I names my cats after characters from these books :) Vishous (A Burmese) and Payne ( A Bronze Egyptian Mau)
This is adult for sure.. just read the first two books and they were both super hot! can't wait to read on, think i'm gonna take my time though i know i won't want the series to end. love it!!

I read BDB books one after the other, took me less than a year to finish the series and now I'm being impatient with Thor's book.. :P
I too love the BDB serie. i love how she can make main charakter with so many flaus and problems and still make me love them and make me want to get revenge for them. and she deliveres everytime maybe not in the way that i would like but in a way that still make me happy and eager awaiting the next book :O
Absolutely HOT books! Love, love, love my friend for introducing me to the BDB series! I will recommend them to everyone I talk to, lol! On Book 2 and can't get enough. I must say I try so hard to skip over the lessers!!
well let just hope thorn story is better that pain story because for me lover unleashed wasn't good 4 me .pain the character is someone built for action and almost half of the book you will read about v her brother.

This series is amazing I have read all but the most recent one (waiting for it to be on paper back...can't have just one hard cover) but they are all amazing. It is a definetly adult series, if you all like these and haven't you should read Lara Adrian Midnight Breed series too...not as good but definetly a good series very similar.
Love this series so much.. i am hooked. On the 4th book so far Butch and Marissa's story. It's the best series i've read in a long time.
