Use this thread if you are reading through the book and you want to talk about it. For example, if you are anything like me, if something crazy happens in a book I always want to talk about it right after it happens! It's also nice to discuss with others who are reading through it. Please make sure at the top of every thing you post you have a SPOILER warning and say up to what page you are on.

I read The Time Traveler's Wife and really enjoyed it so I'm excited to read something else by her even though I've heard it's nothing like TTW.

Nawar (nawaralq) | 53 comments Yeah, it's different, but there are similar themes.
I'm excited for her new book!

Anna Shumaker (annashu) Really excited for this. Sadly I told my mom she could borrow my Kindle to read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, so either I'll have to wait until she is done, or until I can get my hands on a real copy.

Monica (monbon211) | 89 comments I bought mine at Costco. I was browsing through the books there and when I had seen Her Fearful Symmetry I remembered that it would be a group read coming up soon, so I picked it up.

I've been reading it intermittently throughout the day (among other things, like the internet, eating, cleaning, chatting) and I'm actually quite liking it. At the beginning I thought it was a bit slow, but it's still relevant.

I am really liking some of the characters thus far (such as Martin), and the different relationships is also interesting.

I also love that it is set in London, England.

I'm on page 157 right now...

Melissa | 279 comments I started reading it Im on about page 50 and got so much homework assigned this week I wont have a chance to read it till this weekend. Im really bummed cause it was getting good! I am really enjoying it so far!

I am surprised at how much I am enjoying this book. This is my first book by this author- I think I will put The Time Travelers Wife on my to read list!

Right now I am on page 172- the large print edition. I borrowed it from my county library and for some reason they only have it in large print.. It kind of makes me feel like I am reading a children's book without the pictures :)

I do have one question though, I don't think its really relevant to the story, but how old is Robert? I am just curious haha

Nawar (nawaralq) | 53 comments I think he's in his thirties. My bad memory doesn't help though.
He was younger than Elspeth

I am about half way, and I was expecting something similar to Time Travelers Wife, but nothing like it is.

Sort of spoiler but mentioned in the very beginning. I love visiting cemetaries, so the setting is excellent.

Kayla | 604 comments I just started this book yesterday and I can hardly put it down. I know it's pretty late in the month and I thought about just skipping the groupread, but I'm glad I didn't because I'm really enjoying this book. It has the possibility of becoming one of my favorites of this year.

I haven't read The Time Traveler's Wife or seen the movie, but I think I'll put the book on my TBR list now. I'm enjoying Niffenegger's writing style a lot. Plus, I've just heard so many great things about her first book.

Annie Hartman (anniebananie) | 242 comments I was really hoping I would like this because I absolutely adored Time Travelers Wife. It has met my expectations! I love it!
I am about half way through and have a week long vaca from school. Cant wait to finish this!

Jen (wishesandwanderlust) | 696 comments I just finished Part One (I know, I'm behind in February's group read!). I like it but I'm not loving it like I thought I would. It seems to be moving kind of slow-ish but then you find out eight months have gone by in the story.
