Erik went out and sat on the rooftop. He reached out, trying to touch the night sky but an invisible forcefield stopped his hand.

Dimitri walked out to the edge of the building and noticed the other two tributes there. He sighed and looked away, assuming that they, like everyone else back in District One, wouldn't talk to him anyway.
((I lke the oroof top haha))
Rose walked out onto the roof top, smiling at the night sky which she knew she wished. She saw two other tributes together, and one by himself. Rose bravely took the risk of walking over,
"Uhm, hey." she said to Dimitri, sticking her hands into her pocket.

Dimitri turned to see a girl talking to him. He gave her a small smile, something he rarely did. "Hello." He looked at the capital and sighed, remembering his own district. "My name is Dimitri. What's yours?"
"Rose." she replied, leaning against the stone edge of the building, careful to avoid the shield that would zap-kill you in a second.
"It's nice to meet you Rose." He watched as she leaned against the edge of the building and paused. Why was she even bothering to talk to him? Everyone in District One thought he was a dark and creepy kid because of how he looked.
Rose cocked her head and crossed her arms, "What district are you from?" she asked curiously.
"I am from District One..." He turned to look at her sadly. "My district is probably happy that a tribute like me got chosen. No one will care if I die." Dimitri looked at the stars, grief consuming him.
Rose stared at him sadly, "You will have supporters Dimitri. Even if you think no one will care, they will." She told him, stepping closer. "I'm from District 12." she added on softly at the end
Dimitri looked at Rose and shook his head. "You are the first person I have talked to in a long time, well besides my family." He looked back out at the Capital and gave another small smile. "What is it like there? I bet it is really cool, not all busy like my district."
Rose smiled faintly back at him, "Everyone needs someone to talk to. Even in these sick games." She muttered the last part on.
She shook her head, "Eh, I don't know. My family is kind of poor, but it's beautiful in the winter. All the snow covering the mountains and such"

Dimitri nodded and looked back out at the Capital. "I totally agree with that." He listened as she described the land and closed his eyes trying to picture it. His face became peaceful and happy, something that no one in district one had ever seen.
Rose smiled at him, "Some game, huh?" she said softly, running a hand through her dark hair, sighing and looking down.
Dimitri sighed and nodded. "Yeah, it just makes me mad that they never stop to think about the families whose lives they are ruining." He watched her and sighed, noticing that she was a really pretty girl. He desperatly hoped that he would get killed before he had to kill her.
"Of course they don't. They never do. Because they know they are safe in their fancy, clean capitol homes with their too perfect liv-" Rose said hotly, her temper flaring and stopped suddenly, remembering there might be a chance of microphones or cameras. She looked to Dimitri apologetically, "You know what I mean." she said with a faint shrug, a small smile tugging at her lips. Thoughts ran through her mind. Rose thought suddenly of how cute he looked to her, then felt like smashing herself in the face. She'd have to kill him for petes sake.
Dimitri nodded and glanced around quickly. "I know exactly what you mean." He looked up at his black hair and sighed, messing it up and then flattening it back down.
Rose shook her head gratefully and stood in a paused silence for a few moments. "It's pretty out here." she murmured, picking up a pebble in front of her and throwing it at the shield, watching as it bounced off and whizzed past her.
Dimitri watched as the pebble bounced back and nodded. He looked up at the stars and frowned. "I have been preparing for this my entire life, but now that I am chosen for the games... I think I am scared."
"I sure as hell am...I mean...it's a blood bath out there." She said, choking on the last words.
She sighed, "Me neither. I'm not that type of person."
Rose laced her fingers together, leaning on her elbows against the edge of the rooftop wall. "How about this.." she began, "You and me, allies. We'll take care of each other and watch each others backs, and when it comes down to 3 or 4 of us, we take our separate ways. That way, because truthfully, I really don't want to kill you, it might make it easier...I don't know. Your choice." Rose said hopefully, raising her eyebrows

Abby and Erik walked out onto the rooftop. Erik sighed and looked up at the stars.

Rose nodded her head and held out her hand.
Dimitri took her hand and gave a small smile. "I will do everything in my power to make sure you make it back to district 12."
Rose smiled, then frowned slightly, "Whoa, wait. No, you can't do that. I don't want you to make sure I don't die. Just until it get down to the bottom of us. You have so much more out there for you than I do."
Dimitri shook his head. "If you were there when they called my name, you would understand. The people usually feel bad for the tributes that get picked, but when they called my name all of the people looked relieved."
Rose glared at the ground and set her jaw stubbornly, fire burning in her eyes. "They can't do that! They can't think that! You are a part of them! Family? Friends?" She said empathetically, "It's not right. Not fair Dimitri, when you win the games, or even if you die, which I won't let you--you'll be welcomed back as a hero. You have to be."
Dimitri looked at her, sadness in his eyes and sighed. "I never really talked to my family, and no one in the district ever concidered me a friend. I was always the 'creepy boy who wore black.'"
Rose frowned, "One, black is cool. Two, even though..." her voice became sad and she looked away, "we are technically supposed to be enemies, I don't find you creepy, more like an ally. Friend."
Dimitri looked up at her and smiled, then frowned at the last part of what she said. "I don't want to be your enemy. I can't fight against a girl that is so... pretty." Dimitri looked away, a faint blush coming onto his cheeks.
Rose bit the inside of her cheek and looked away, hiding a blush and saying, "I don't either." She smiled at him
Dimitri looked at her and sighed. "I am sorry... you probably didn't want to hear that from me..."
Rose looked up at him pursing her lips, "No, I liked it. No one has ever called me...pretty. I have three brothers, so I get called a bunch of different names." She shrugged, smiling.
Dimitri smiled and nodded. "I have an older sister and a younger brother, they both seem to hate me." He looked at her and tilted his head, thinking about something.
Rose shook her head, actually laughing. Something she figured she wouldn't be doing much of.
Dimitri smiled when he heard her laugh. "I still have photos of when my sister dressed me up when I was a young kid."
Rose leaned against the stone rooftop wall, "Do you have them here? I'd die to see those."
"Actually I do... I keep them in my jacket pocket as a memory." He took out a photo and handed it to her. "This is when she wanted to make me a princess."
Rose raised her eyebrows when he pulled out the photos, "Oh nice!" She said, taking the photo and smiling at it, "You are a very handsome princess." A blush crept onto her cheeks at the realization at what she said, she handed him back the pictures, "My brothers liked to tackle me, and stuff jam into my pillows."
