RE# 6: He also intends to to have a 10 year debt forgiveness clause if you go into public service instead of the private sector... if you go private then you are forgiven your debt after 20.

Also I believe he said he wants to make green technology the cheapest energy available... at face value that sounds ok, but what it means is his agenda is to tax the panties off the coal/oil industries making alt energy the primary consumer choice, even after empty words of off shore oil platforms and nuclear energy plants.

Wouldn't be a bad idea I suppose... if there was a green tech to turn to but its all in the fetal stage.

Wish all you want Rusty, his background, beliefs and actions all point to the fact that he doesn't have the capacity to do so. He knows what he's doing and it's not meant to make America stronger.

Now I do wish we would appoint a sincere leader who will actually do what they say, but I think we've got a generation of pu&^ies that don't know the meaning of sacrifice, personal responsibility or accountability who are strong enough to make that difficult choice in numbers strong enough to help us actually do that. That's not even taking into account the overwhelming number of young people that have a massive entitlement complex.

sorry for the rant.

Not Bill | 467 comments Look - how did Obama respond to Brown's victory? He doubled down on attacking Republicans. He is all about destroying the country that most of us grew up in - pure and simple and he's not alone. He's got the Democrat party machine backing him up. Anyone catch the Gallup poll where a MAJORITY of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism? That's all ya need to know.

Jerrod (liquidazrael) One thing I will always remember about Obama was his bold face lie about Executive Orders, some bullshit about I won't do that like Bush did. We'll here we are over 1 year into his presidency and he's signing them like permission slips. Want to know what that slippery bastard has signed?

No need for waders, this is a political sideshow. I'm ashamed of my Federal Government and sag my head in shame at the state we've let America get to.

Rusty wrote: "Cut the guy some slack. He had to execute those orders because of something Bush did."

Then he shouldn't have made promises he couldn't keep. I understand that Bush was a tool that did allot of damage. But I expect the truth from my representatives and especially the one who holds the highest office.

I disagree, Jerrod, but then again I am one of his faithful 29%. Was Bush the greatest President we ever had? Shit no, but I think given the other options he was the best available. And you know despite all the media coverage he did a pretty good job. I don't blame the economy on Bush, or his administration. I blame congress, their names are stamped all over it. The "war on terror" was actually going pretty good under the "Bush Doctrine" and now not so much, every defeated ass hole is now testing their position to see if they can get up, guess what they are finding?

Bush's main short coming was not being able to articulate what was going on... he took the "you don't need to know the details" approach. I agree with that, the public doesn't need to know, but after 7 years he should have been able to produce a statement that encompassed his message without showing his hand.

Jerrod (liquidazrael) SSH;

I do agree with you that he wasn't the best, but was the best option they allowed us to have. And at least you admit your position. Maybe my standards are just too high? As for the economy, it's the result of many administrations little tweaks here and there that have put our economy in the position it is now. Republican, Democrat, Independents, its all our faults and no one want's to take their share of the responsibility or make the tough choices that will lead to actual recover rather than a stupid numbers game that 'shows' were in early stages of recover, which is complete bullshit.

Good things to read:
Niall Ferguson "The Ascent of money"
Steven Levitt "Freakonomics" and "SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance"

I started reading a lot of economic books over the last 6-9 months to try and quell a growing sense that our economic woe's are engineered... the result is I am more convinced now then ever. It is a mixture of complacency by some, and unrelenting pressure by others.

Jerrod (liquidazrael) SSH, try looking into The Return of the Great Depression. The first half is challenging as it touches on some theory and such, but the second half is easily devoured with lots of information, worth a read and I highly recommend it.
