Well Heather, as far as tattoos go I think I'm pretty safe. If the Cubs ever win the World Series I may think about it, but that may never happen in my life time.

It does really irritate me though that I can get my mind to the point that I tell myself that the dentist doesn't hurt, but I can't walk by a cookie and convince myself I don't need it.

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments I know this does not help Jim, but I lost my intense fear of dentists after I had my second bout with childbirth (thrills! spills! bodily fluids!) and decided, hell if I can do THAT twice, I can handle any dentist.

Oh, I have no fear of dentists at all. Needles is a different subject. I can take shots, I just don't do well seeing the needle which is pretty hard to do at a dentist.

janine | 7709 comments you could just close your eyes and trust the dentist knows what he's doing.

Sarah | 13814 comments That's what I do. Keep the eyes closed, and the fingers clenched.

I am now running far, far away from talk of needles and dentists.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Same here, don't make me look at the needle, and I'm fine.
