Sean Perry (perrydigital) Hello all. I've recently joined goodreads and was looking for somewhere good to discuss books, and find new ones. It would appear I've arrived.

So hello to everyone! Anyone around here anywhere near?

message 2: by Carol (new)

Sean Perry (perrydigital) Thank you both. I've just read the first chapter of 'the girl with the dragon tattoo' this morning.

I have really committed myself to read what I have at home this year.I like to splurge a lot in books"but now I have to read it.Its the reason why I missed January discussion.

Sean Perry (perrydigital) Lori: Thanks Gaffer! Friends and books.. what more could you want?

Marie-vicky: I'm quite the same I have a massive stack I keep near my bed, but I've finally started wading through them instead of buying new ones and adding to the pile!

Dragon Tattoo is keeping me interested so far, I like the title character, but I'm still only early in.

Thanks again for the welcomes all.

Marie-vicky (grimace) | 49 comments Hi

I have a problem with my stack of books.I always get through the same dilemma all the time.At the minute I finished a book,it take me hours to decide the next book.I have to say when I would have read what I have,I will get one at the time.Maybe it would be easier and I will save time.

message 9: by Sean (new)

Sean Perry (perrydigital) Heh, I guess it's not such a bad problem to have though eh? ;)

message 10: by Marie-vicky (new)

Marie-vicky (grimace) | 49 comments Its not a bad problem but a lot of time lost shoveling cloud instead to pick the first one on the top.I could read much more......

message 11: by Sean (new)

Sean Perry (perrydigital) I usually read two or three at a time, that way I can pick a new one at my leisure whilst finishing another.

message 12: by Marie-vicky (new)

Marie-vicky (grimace) | 49 comments I do that sometimes.I start reading another when I struggle with a book that I have to fight to finish it.

message 13: by F1Wild (new)

F1Wild Hi Sean! Love Liverpool and often took the ferry back and forth to Belfast & Dublin! I miss the UK!

Welcome (as a fellow newbie) to the group!

message 14: by Sean (new)

Sean Perry (perrydigital) Well there fellow newbie..I have only one serious question for you..

Schumacher and Rosberg?!

I'm not even sure thats a question to be honest!

message 15: by F1Wild (new)

F1Wild Seriously - Rosberg, NOT Schumi!!!

I'm an ol' Jacques Villeneuve fan so Schumi, especially post-Jerez '97 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. ;-))

message 16: by F1Wild (new)

F1Wild P.s. - I'll take Alonso over both of 'em!

message 17: by Marie-vicky (new)

Marie-vicky (grimace) | 49 comments Even if out of the circuit. My heart still goes for Villeneuve.

message 18: by Marie-vicky (new)

message 19: by F1Wild (new)

F1Wild I hope to be there or at least one GP this year - with or without JV!

message 20: by Sean (new)

Sean Perry (perrydigital) Aceness. I loved Villeneuve too.

message 21: by F1Wild (new)

F1Wild I'd really like to see him drive for USF1, but Peter Windsor has always hated him.... although, if they would like to get instant huge PR for a barely making it team, they should consider the major free publicity...not to mention his skills as a driver and new team developer.
