He didn't ask my name, just like "You are a girl." and broad stuff, nothing too personal.

Sorry I've been MIA for a while, guys! Funny how the real world can zap into your cyber one! Ah, well, Nightshade that's probably a health attitude- not giving up your ID online. I guess I'm just too blunt or careless to really care about the potentials resulting from giving my name out...not exactly safe in this day and age, but alas, thankfully enough nothings happened to me yet :-).
Heh, yeah. I mean, it would probably be fine to say my real first name, since it's kind of common, but still. *points at self* Stalkerphobia, remember? ;)
The guy I was talking to who asked me all these questions has exactly where he lives on his profile. His city, street, apartment building, apartment number. Apparently, if you're a stalker, you're supposed to knock on his door and ask for Steve... but Steve isn't his real name.He had a rough guess at my age.
Eek. Okay, while I am not suffering Stalker-phobia, I'm by no means THAT brazen in releasing my personal info! Sheesh. Didn't think there were people who were that brazen, actually.
Yeah I know. I'm curious though, not like I'd acctually do that. I'll ask him what he would do. He even says, "I live in Florida. And for all you stalkers I live....."
Wow. That's just... wow.But maybe it's a little different for guys as opposed to girls. It would also depend on your age, but still... o.O
You know, I hadn't thought about the concerns men verses women in the cyber realm have to think on- makes sense a man doesn't necessarily have the fears a woman might. Sexist it may be, but such are the facts of life I guess.
"...but such are the facts of life." That sounded cool. He's like twenty or something, or at least that's what he says, but he does act like he's twenty to me.
LOL Thanks Rose, I try. Well, at least he isn't a minor. I guess the only relative risk for men to be brazen about their home address is if they are children, and susceptible to child molesters.
Other than that, I think men are far more safer to be lackadaisical in the cyber realm than women are.
He's really weird... but nice. He reveiws on my stories, and I know he doesn't like 'em, but he's nice....
Nope, Bubbles. I have and always will be a true Hater :). LOLAlthough, the only thing close to a "lover" that I neared was the fact that I gave the Twilight book 60 pages of my reading time before tossing it aside in disgust. Because I was painfully bored one night, I decided to rent the movie Twilight, curious to see if maybe I was wrong in deciding what utter garbage the book really was.
Yeah. I'm also an idiot!
Because not only was it crap, the likes of which dung beetles wouldn't even touch, but it was nauseating to watch. But I stuck it through to the end. Why? No clue- other than maybe it's like watching a really bad car accident. You just can't look away, but you're screaming and cringing on the inside.
No-I went neutral at first. Like, I didn't read it, but I didn't hate it. My friends would talk about it, and I would randomly say, "EDWARD SPARKLES!!" because I always thought that was just weird. I never really wanted to read it, but I borrowed it from my sis (who got half-way into New Moon and died of boredom) adn read like the first five pages. I realized that Bella was a Mary-Sue, so I skipped to the part when she meets Edward. It was really stupid.I DIED. And went hater.

That's okay, Nightshade, for there is forgiveness for all who seek the Light...:|
Light = The Overwhelming And Plainly Obvious Realization That Stephanie Meyers Is A Total Talentless, Moronic, Brain Dead Tard In Need Of An Immediate Brain Transplant :)
LMAO
Nightshade wrote: "Good analogy! Twilight movie = car crash. Yeah..."Thanks! ... Or perchance the equivalent of a plane crashing on top a train during a hurricane which resulted from a cataclysmic alien invasion, kinda analogy :). *Insert evil laugh*
Oh. Well. That's... yeah, that's pretty much what happened to one of my friends. She started reading Twilight, but then she stopped after about 100 pages because she got bored. Now it's been collecting dust in her room for... hmm... almost a year. >:D
Rose wrote: "Rose wrote: "No-I went neutral at first. Like, I didn't read it, but I didn't hate it. My friends would talk about it, and I would randomly say, "EDWARD SPARKLES!!" because I always thought that wa..."*Dies laughing* Reading that had me crackin' up laughing, I swear!
For myself personally, the opposite is true. I hate Twilight so much BECAUSE it's a romance- or rather, it's considered as such. In all actuality it's the worst example of paranormal romance ever written in the history of man kind and all his royal screw ups! Honestly I don't blame people who aren't fans of this genre- it's no wonder when we've got High Queen Morons like Meyer writing tripe that dogs wouldn't even deem worthy to use for wiping their asses with that merely support the idea that all romance is crap!
Meyer makes me so ashamed of my preferred genre! I mean, really! *Sighs*

Tell your friend to toss the thing in the shredder or blender and turn those crap ridden pages into compost fertilizer. At least then they'd be good for something!
*wipes tear* YOU THINK I'M FUNNY??? Thank you!Anwayz, one thing I thing we bash alot here is romances. I don't know why, but alot of people here have aproblem with them. Not just Twilight, but romances in general. I'm just saying.
Yeah she needs to get rid of teh book, it's shame to have in her house. Maybe she could rip the pages one by one and use them as toilet paper.

*Chuckles* Hell, yes, hon, you're funny as hell. It's an off-the-wall refreshing kind of humor- the likes of which I sometimes own up to, depending on my mood. My last comment in a thread was about personal quizes on a book quiz area of a site making about as much sense as Hitler blogging about his love the Jewish people.
Needless to say, the world imploded with a truck load of stupidity and really dumb assumptions about my character. I love how people make assumptions :|.
I understand that most people bash romance. And I realize that it's a shame the genre is always going to be considered trash. But, like any book genre, there are good authors and bad. The sad part is that the bad ones have given people the idea that this genre lacks anything of value. Like I said, it doesn't help that you have authors like Meyers with Twilight that merely perpetuate the idea that any romance novel is crap. (Yet one more reason I want to smack her with an iron frying pan :| )
Oh, heck no, Rose! Don't let her defile her body's bodily functions with that vile piece of tripe!
Eh, but then again, crap smeared pages can only help improve the book. *Shrugs* Never mind. I recant! LOL
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The only comments I get about my humor is how it's stupid and I'm not funny *coughCollencough*.Yeah, it must hurt good romance authors knowing their stuff is on the same shelf as Twilight. It must hurt all authors.
*Laughs* I know the feeling! I have a warped sense of humor, too, and get the "Okay-She's-Utterly-Wacked" sentiment from people. So I can definitely appreciate when I spot others who are capable of making me laugh, a-typical like. And you are absolutely, 100%, beyond a sparkly-vampire doubt right! Meyer no doubt makes authors like Sherrilyn Kenyon and J.R. Ward want to cram their heads into a blender and set it to liquefy :|. The woman is an embarrassment and the igit doesn't even know it! Bram Stoker is rolling his grave, no doubt wanting to stake the doofus through her termite-sized, pee-brained head!

Light ..."
Lol! I feel so sorry for anyone's poor brain that is still in the Dark. :P
I think Cal was referencing the comments earlier about how the "Light" was seeing how badly Twilight sucks, and the "Dark" was the fan obsessed insanity for the Twilight books, lol. :)
Which is kinda odd, considering I'm always the lost one. The one standing there going "Wait..I don't get it?" :P
*Laughs* You have to appreciate the irony!I know what you mean, though, because I used to be horribly bad about that. I'd say something that I thought was completely understandable, get the "uhh, okay" reaction, explain, and then wind up confused myself! *Dies laughing!*
Not so bad now, I guess my brain finally decided "Okay, I'll stop being a butt to you and start functioning like I'm supposed to," or some such hilarity.
:O You're lucky. At least you get a brain! XD Yeah, I'll go on and on about brushes on GIMP, a photoshop-ish program, but then someone will say something so basic, and I'll be left with a confused expression on my face. And lots of times I end up confuzzling myself as well. >.>
Which is even more ironic, because I'm brunette. My friends would swear I dye my hair, though.
*Dies laughing* I know how you feel. Although I proudly proclaim its because I'm a nerdy-intellectual and, much like Einstein, I am occasionally confused without warning :).Although, ironically enough, I'm not nearly as bad about it as I used to be. I read somewhere that stress can be a major factor in brain function, and since my life has drastically de-stressed, said brain function isn't nearly as chaotic as it used to be! Yay for small blessings, lol.
Yeah, whenever I take those "what type of nerd are you?" quizzes, I get at least like 90% literature freak, and like over 70% computer geek. >.> In my defense, I never really wake up until like after noon...I'm a night owl. Def. not a morning person! :]
Ahh, I don't get that excuse, I don't have much stress in my life. Danggit.
Oh, my. >.> This just beats pathetic, Jacqueline. And you thought the Tw*light site was sad...http://www.youtube.com/user/failblog?...
LOL I'm definitely not the computer geek- I'm lucky if I can my toaster to work properly. But I am with you in being a night owl. If I had it my way, I'd be completely nocturnal. But job and church won't allow that *rolls eyes.* So sad, LOL.
As to the video- I'll check it out in a few hours. I'm cursed with living in the country and only having access to Hughes Net- which is high speed, sure, but you can only download (video clips, music, ect.) during the early morning hours. If you're the devil, and go over the certain megabyte restriction during the day, the Hughes Net people eat your souls and your internet speed slows to dial up :|
It sucks more than Twilight- if such a thing is possible.
Either way, I can't wait to see it. No doubt I'll want to gouge my eyes out at the end of it, if it's WORSE than that Twi-idiot site!
haha that's awful! xDYeah, shame on church, school and jobs! :P
It's a newscaster, reporting on why the town has garlic. And one dude swears that they can't take it out--the vammpires might return!!!! Oh, NO! :P
Oh, I believe it!
