So I was thinking that each element should have a PART (remembering that it is an actual part will be important later) of it that is an addition to it's understood power. for example, water has ice which everybody already knows, because ice IS water in a different form. Earth could have metal because metal is earth refined. Fire could have lightning because fire is one of the literal incarnations of energy, and lightning is another, but what would air have?

I think that ice is a separate form of... magicalness. remember when you me and alex talked about it?
ICE, LIGHT, DARK, METAL, LIGHTNING/THUNDER, and all the other stuff Dar talked about earlier should be separate (in my book, perhaps separate minor kingdoms)
For Air, I would think thunder, breath, time, something like that if u were figuring that out.

I thought thunder was the sound? time is to powerful and what do youmean by breath? if you don't like ice (I think Ice is obviously perfect) you could do Blood bending because there is water in blood (I LOVE AVATAR) but it is so diluted that they could only do it in a great time of need or something....

maybe not individual kingdoms but like prominent families/clans(the earth kingdom has the earth family and the metal family[earth is the ruling family:] and so forth).

I actually think time is cool for Air.
There is time stopping in the first chapter of my book, but I was going to make that for all the elements.
