I've read good reviews for "The Wolf in Winter." Has anyone finished this newest Parker installment and - without spoilers, of course - have comments on how it compares to the previous books?
Yeah...I finished it in record time, but the ending kind of fizzled out. It's almost like John realised he had only so many pages to conclude the story and just ran out of time. The latter chapters seemed kind of rushed somehow and I was somewhat bummed out by how the book ended. I wasn't alone, as two of my other colleagues were similarly disappointed, but our overall appetite for the Parker series still remains as strong.
I just finished the book and found it very engaging. I would have liked more action/engagement between the police chief and Louis and Angel. Also, it kinda ended with a fizzle...
Just pre-ordered 'Song of Shadows'...it's supposed to be out in April. Apparently, we'll have a link to the Nazi concentration camps...can't wait.

You obviously have more self restraint than me, although I do like to pick and mix my genres. I'd just bite the bullet and join the rest of the folk who are waiting patiently for the next release.
