thanks I'll have to check it out. I used to subscribe to Dear Reader and it got to be too much during the summer so I cancelled out the ones I used to get everyday. Now it would probably be good to try something like this out again.

I'm still subscribed to Dear Reader. I just delete the ones about books that don't interest me unread. But I find out about so many books from Author Buzz. There's a link to Author Buzz in all the Dear Reader e-mails.

I signed up for BookDaily excerpts and am loving it. I've just read the first chapter of The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and it moved me from "probably not read" to "probably will" read, and No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy, which was just a treat, reminding me of the first few scenes of the movie and reminding me of why I wanted to read it. I've deleted an equal number of excerpts unread, but I'm enjoying the ones I'm curious about but wouldn't commit to just yet.
