Lyn, I can see that. Makes sense between what hollywood gives your eyes and what you can imagine yourself. Give the first book a try then and let me know what you think when you do! :)

58. The Color Purple by Alice Walker
It was an audio book read by the author, I love that. Great book, now I want to see the movie again.

One more book to go before I make my reading goal for the year! #59 completes my name challenge too!!!

60. Russian Winter by Daphne Kalotay
I completed both of my reading goals for the year!!!

Are you going for 60 again?

61. The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory
HATED this book!!!"
And yeah... wasn't a big fan either!

That's understandlable... it was hard enough for us this year!

Lyn, I would read it between two chunkster books or between two non-fic's. It is a good fluff read but not exactly her best work. The only problem I had with the book is that it is a collection of short stories which is fine but it seems like as soon as I was invested in the characters the story would end and I would have to start all over again with a new story and different people.

Did you like that one? I read it and enjoyed it but my fav Richard Matheson books are What Dreams May Come and Bid Time Return (Somewhere in Time)

Yes I read Hell house and Earthbound as well as Stir of Echos. All are his and all were good but the What Dreams May Come and Bid Time Return.
