And it probably has some meaning to the person who had it tattooed. Just not my thing.

Did you like 38. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho ?? I have been thinking of reading some of his books for a while just have not gotten around to it.

Ahhh Wen you simply must read The Alchemist! I haven't run into a person that has read it and not liked it. The author is truely gifted and I recommend also reading The Zahir, I loved it even more than TA.
40. For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway August
41. Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler

I didn't know you read this one! How was it?
Jennifer wrote: "I second... or third lol... the opinion on The Alchemist and will be reading The Zahir soon too :)"OK will have to give him a whirl then. I had seen The Zahir on Donnas posts and was going to ask if she liked his books too but seems I will most likely get the same answer. Time to pick up one of his books!!
Did you guys know that The Alchemist has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 140 weeks! That is almost 3 years. Popular guy.
Colleen how was the Chelsea Handler book??? i've wanted to read that one for a bit. I heard it was hilarious!
The Chelsea Handler book was hilarious, I also read My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands and want to read Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. I recommend her books because they are all quick reads and I literally LOL'ed at them. I love books that make me laugh like that!42. The Confessions of Catherine de Medici by C.W. Gortner

I read both Chelsea books too and don't have any plans to read her newest one. I thought it was OK. I mean there were funny parts but I didn't really care for it so much.

Donna, I think you just have to like her stand-up and/or her show in order to like her books.
September46. A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
It got mixed reviews because there is a lot of sex in the book. Good book, I wasn't offended by the so called "raunchy" scenes.
48. The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory Not her best book, I hated the ending because it seemed not thought out at all and very rushed. Bess was highly annoying.
Colleen wrote: "45. Shanghai Girls by Lisa SeeThe ending, wow."
Do you think this was set up for a sequel? Seemed so open-ended but in a way, that was good for me. In another way, it kept me wanting more.
I know, I agree with Jennifer. The open ending seemed appropriate to the story, but I am not surprised to hear there is going to be a sequel. I would be interested to know if she planned the sequel all along or not.
I'm finally going to tackle The Other Queen. I bought it ages ago! Colleen, I've heard the general consensus on it and it matches yours. Doesn't make me wanna read it any faster LOL
Wow, you passed me up. I haven't had much time to read lately. What did you think of Borgia Bride. I am trying to get to that one.
Collen and Jen - Where have you been?? I am loving TBB by the way. It is going really well, although I am interrupting it to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with a pen pal from another group.
I have to get my hands on TBB and read it LOL. I have been neglecting my GR reads for school books. Sadly. Because most of the books I've had to read for school are sooooo dry.

I'm here!
Good Lord I haven't been on GR in such a long time. I think I may have passed up my reading goal and I am going to do my best to update from memory but I may have to come back and update some more as I am at work right now.
53. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream by by Hunter S. Thompson Darn it there is more than that I just can't remember the books right now LOL
