In the beginning, Junior explained how he had medical problems since he had spinal fluid in his skull. He also had one friend that really really fights for what he wants even if it's a bad thing. He also loves chicken so much from KFC.

Danny is introduced to the teenagers of the neighborhood by his cousin, Sofia. Danny watches them play baseball until one of them invites him to play. Danny plays batter, making the ball go over two houses.

In the beginning marjane explains what it was like in her school and how they tried to enforces the girls to wear vails. then as you start to get more into the story she starts to tell you about the protests that her parents do and then she starts to talk about the war. and how they ran out of food in the stores and the women were being prostitutes.

In the beginning marjane said she wanted to be a prophet and she was talking about the revolution. Then her uncle Anoosh came and he told her stories about their family and when marjane was at school her uncle got arrested. Now the war has just started.
