I'm just worried that this will be viewed as cheating by Amazon? That could have repercussions?

message 1903: by Tad (new)

Tad | 8 comments Yes, I was going to say too: I'm comfortable tagging, because it helps people identify a book for what it is. But a little uncomfortable with the "liking" part... I'd rather people didn't do that with mine, unless they really do like it.

LOL, no worries, Paul. This is the way it's been done for a long time. I took the info from a 'guide' called helping goodreads authors, and saw one similar on a blog. There was also a webinar talking about the power of Amazon, tagginbg and all.

message 1906: by Debbie (new)

Debbie | 102 comments It's no worse than having someone run a publicity saying how amazing and 'must have' a product is...the idea is to get visiblity, and the more tags, the easier the book will be called up in searches.

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 63 comments Tagged and liked you Michael, Jenyfer, Heather, Marie, Brandon, ER, Matt, Laura, Tad, Barbara and CM.
Tagged you Stuart, but for some reason I can’t ‘like’ on Amazon UK!
Christine, you shared your website and blog, but I found you on Amazon and your books had no likes or tags, so I added some. Share your links here and you will get some more and you can like and tag others in return.

Thanks everyone!

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 63 comments PS. If anyone tags my book on Amazon UK, please DON’T tag ‘secret life’ and ‘stay-at-home mom’. I’m trying to get rid of those irrelevant tags!

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 63 comments Thanks C.M. just saw you on the UK thread and did yours. It seems I can 'like' now.

message 1911: by Tad (new)

Tad | 8 comments Thanks to everyone! One other thing: please DON'T tag the "Kindle free book" under mine; I doubt that will ever be applicable again (though never say never). Actually, if people want to untag/downvote that one, it would be super helpful.

message 1922: by Jo (new)

Jo | 10 comments It would be great if someone would look at my book which I posted about last week. It's really depressing to see it slipping down the selling ratings, and to find that no one's tagged it. You'll find it at:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Story-Men...
Thanks in advance to anyone who has a look at it.

message 1924: by Jo (new)

Jo | 10 comments Thanks Nicola. I loved the parallel worlds tag, but I'm not so sure about paranormal as that suggests ghosts which don't occur in my novel.

Jo - I agreed with the paranormal tag and like your book, but the number on likes didn't go up. There's a UK tagging discussion in one of the groups. I'll try to find it for you.

Jo | 10 comments Hi C.M. Gray

I was recommended to get in touch by Vickie. I had a look inside your book and enjoyed what I read so I tagged it and 'liked'it. Perhaps you would like to look at my novel: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Story-Men... and add a tag or two.

Thanks Jo

Paul West (firstcauseproject) | 31 comments Hi guys,

I know this is meant for support via tagging, but I figured I'd pass along my kickstarter page! Many of you probably know what Kickstarter is; it's a site designed for creative projects that need a 'kick start' via 'crowd sourcing'. My kickstarter page will tell you about my book, my purpose and my goal...if you read it and it looks interesting, pass it along! And good luck to all of my fellow GR authors!!!

As it's going to take me awhile to catch up on my liking, I thought I should probably throw my hat in now.

Thanks to all. ^_^

message 1937: by Ruby (new)

Ruby Barnes (rubybarnes) Elyse, you didn't have any tags so I've added

dark fantasy, paranormal romance, trilogy

and liked / tagged UK and US. Hope that's okay.

I'm at page 40 and working back to where I left off.
Here are mine (see below). Note: if you hit T twice you'll get a list of the tags, and then you jut have to click on them. Much easier.

Vickie McKeehan (westcoastgirl) | 329 comments Jack wrote: "How does this work?"
Jack -- 1st post your book link for amazon and then just follow the links people post, click the like FIST with the thumbs up. Then scroll down to the reviews and click helpful on the good reviews. And then scroll down to the tags and click on each one of the tags. I almost forgot if they have an author page click on the like fist there too.
Hope this helps,
Vickie
