Let me ask a very naive question - do tags & likes make much, if any, difference? When I use Amazon, I look at reviews - am I missing something?

Likes increase you book's position in the general category search, but it's also dependant on other things like your sales and page views etc.

With the likes not going up, not being an Amazon UK customer I can like your books all I want but they don't count. Yesses and tags do however.

I think it's because some people don't realise that you have to click on the tags, not just click 'agree with these tags'.

I think it's because some people don't realise that you have to click on the tags, not just click 'agree with these tags'.

Is this right? I thought 'agree' ticked all the boxes.

Gary Ballard (gary_ballard) | 54 comments The I agree button only allows you to vote up or down on some tags - if, for instance, someone put the wrong tags on a book. It doesn't actually tag the book. You have to click the box to the left of the tag or type in the tag yourself and hit save in order to register a tag click.

Tagged your books and liked your facebook page. Unfortunately because your books are on kindle UK I can't like them as I'm not a customer. I also gave you your first tag, 'apocalypse'.You should addsome more.

By the way, how did you get a 'like' button on your facebook page? My page doesn't have one and though I've looked through the help section I'm still clueless. It can tell me everything about what one is and does, but not how to put one on.
